	Log in to remove this sponsored message How do you guys go about chosing to play either the Imperial Legion or Stormcloak factions? Do you just join who you like, or who you think is doing the right thing for Skyrim? Do you choose based on racial alliances? Do you think about Tamriel on whole? Is the Empires day done, or does it deserve to rise from the ashes? Will Skyrim's succession from the Empire even spell it's doom or do you even care? (Before posting this I had a massive wall of text about the current political scope on tamriel on a whole, but I wanted your take!)

	The Imperial are trying to save thousands of lives by agreeing to do some stuff the Thalmor want to prevent a massive war that would result in the Altmer taking control over Tamriel or something. Sure they almost killed you at the start but you would have said the same if you were the captain in Helgen at that point. Some guys found next to Ulfric? Kill them all, they're probably rebels. 	When you consider that Tiber Septim was a Nord, aren't the imperials being traitors to their own first emperor? Then again you have to remember that the Nords killed the original inhabitants of Skyrim, who were the Bretons, oddly enough... So if we're judging based on who has the right to live there, the Forsaken are the good guys. -------------------

	Where is this racism on show anyway? I'm playing a Nord, so I don't really see any of it going on. Though I did find an interesting kid's story book featuring High Elves who run an inn and kill people who stay there... -------------------

	I went stormcloak first then I found out the backstory where you find that if you help the stormcloaks win the aldmeri dominion most likely invades skyrim and kills everyone then takes over the empire. congrats on that...

Yer right. The Dominion couldn't even take Hammerfall even after being abandoned by the Empire, with an open coastline. The Nords joined what was left of the Empires forces and Utterly annihilated the Dominions main army.
