Dragonbone Armor why is it worse than Daedric?

	Log in to remove this sponsored message So on like the first or second day of having the game I went all in on smithing and traveled to multiple towns making as many daggers as I could till I maxed out my smithing. Now it seems that from what I can tell Dragonbone armor is worse defense wise than Daedric. Am I doing something wrong or is this true? ------------------- Smoke Good, Eat Good, Live Good

	I think it's better in base stats, but as Dragonbone is the final tier, I don't think you can upgrade it as well, as making it is the final step. -------------------

Ebony ingots can be got from like every blacksmith, only had to hit up two towns to grab how many I needed. 8 hearts is just four trips to the place where daedra never stop spawning. All amounts to like five minutes of effort. Not really sure why the top of the smithing tree is organized like it is, doesn't make much sense. ------------------- [twitter]

	Haven't seen Dragonbone armor. DragonPlate armor(base 46def) which uses dragon bones to make the heavy armor is weaker then Daedric armor(base 49def). Daedric is the top of the line for Heavy armor. DragonScale armor (made from drgon bones) is the top of the line for light armor. Hope this helps you.

Dragonscale isn't made with Dragon Bones either, it's made with Dragon Scales, thus it's name... Daedric is the best Heavy Armor, Dragonscale is the best Light Armor. Why Daedric is the best and not Dragonplate, I have no idea, I'd assume they just didn't think it through tbh. It's been said that Dragonplate is easier to make than Daedric but I think they are about the same, and both are pretty easy once you actually know where to go... -------------------

You can't upgrade dragonplate armour? yeah you can. in fact you need the dragon perk to upgrade light and heavy armor to their max. but daedric has higher def since it weighs more. but that's not a problem since both armor paths have the whole weight negate thing. at this point my daedric armor is about 300 defense higher than my dragonplate so the difference gets pretty big.

	DG, you CAN upgrade Dragonplate armor, but it's still worse defensively than Daedric. Not matter what you do, Daedric is still better in the Heavy Armor department. At least until a patch and/or DLC. -------------------

	Refining a piece of armor to legendary (highest tier) gives it +20 I believe, no matter what class/type/whatever armor you're refining. Even if you master Light Armor, you shoot yourself in the foot by climbing the left (light) side of the smithing tree. The right side not only exclusively has the best heavy armor, but the best weapons as well, on top of sharing the best light armor perk with the left side. 	I think they should make Dragonscale on the left side (Light) and Dragonplate on the right side (Heavy) then have Daedric the lvl100 perk, as it's the "best." At least the way things are currently. That way, Light Armor Smithers aren't stuck using Glass and/or Bound Weapons because they don't feel like wasting the perk points to climb the other side of the tree. Alternatively, you could make the per tree a circle, that way Light Armor Smithers can just use one more perk to wrap around and grab Daedric. Just thoughts. -------------------

	It does connect, but you can't continue the circle. You can choose the left or right path and follow that to the top. Once you are at the top it stops. If you want the other half, you need to start back at the bottom and go the other way. I'd make things easier and better for Smithers (Mainly Light Armor users that like Smithing) if you could just continue going around the circle. So after you grab Dragon Smithing, you can get Daedric. And the reason you'd want Daedric is for the weapons. -------------------
