R.I.P Umbra/Goldbrand

Am I the only one who is very sad these two weapons aren't in the game? In oblivion they were my two favourite swords.

Umbra was pretty overrated tbh, it had the highest base damage of any weapon, but its enchantment was average.

Goldbrand was my favourite weapon in the game. An awesome enchantment with extremly high base damage.

Off topic:Ebony Blade any good?

The Ebony Blade's enchantment is increased when you deceitfully murder someone, the basedamage stays the way you find it. I personally do not understand though how some receive an Ebony Blade with the base damage of 45 while some get 14

Well there are lore reasons as to why umbra is no longer around in sword form. As for Goldbrand as awesome as it was, you can pretty much get the same weapon, get a blades sword and give it a fire enchant .

Speaking of ebony blades, where would I aquire one? In a quest, or do I have to loot it somewhere?

For the Ebony Blade, the amount of hp absorbed by the enchantment goes up by 2 (it starts at 10) every time you kill someone that "trusts you" i.e. someone you've done a quest for. The weapon reaches full power after 10 of these kills, maxing out at 30 hp absorbed per strike.
