When you come into Helgen, look to your left. You will see Elenwen on horseback, and a Thalmor entorage. That, and the Ancano thing. In short, every Thalmor in the game is a nefarious power hungry smug elitist bent on global domination and/or destruction, whichever comes first. And they took credit for ending the Oblivion Crisis, which if you played the last game, really aught to piss you off.

Wow good information. I just think it's such a massive operation that it doesn't warrant merely a DLC. Although, I don't really know what other DLC's they could put out that would really make it worth the money. Really great find about initially coming into Helgen. It definitely makes sense what you found. I just am willing to bet that there's an ulterior motive for the Thalmor's actions. Unless the writers of Bethesda are just lazy and cliche, I doubt that their only motive is power and money. Which is why I agree with OP, because it's probably an attempt to return power to the big bad MD.

I like the Thalmor, because they're savvy and know how to get things done. They also kicked the crap out of a far greater empire.

they make a excellent enemy, and we could defiantly have some fun taking them down. however, i would never, ever team up with them. though, i believe that there are some who may just to spite everyone else

If they are it better be an expansion pack instead of just DLC. While they may sound similar I think they arent but that's a whole new topic.

The Thalmor are my arch Nemisis. After all, from my Dunmer PoV they are soft people who think they're better than everyone else simply because they are taller. Their pompousness will be their undoing.

Being a Dunmer I could care less about Talos. I will say that Ulfrics cause is also false. He may sound like a good guy but he is only a short sighted bigoted fool.

So yes, I think they will be a big part of either an expansion pack, but most likely the next Elder Scrolls.

lets not forget that the stormcloacks consider all non-nord races to be inferior. they do give you a bit of sh*t for a while if you join them and your not a nord, then stop after the first few battles you win. that, and if you pay attention to non-nord shopkeepers in areas that the stormcloacks have control/take over, they'll say that ever since the stormcloacks came in, they have had less and less business because of the fact that the stormcloacks have taken over. the thalmor, on the other hand, consider all non elven races (and some of the elven races) to be inferior, you cant join them, nor can you destroy them (yet). the empire, however, is the least racist of the three factions. their down side is that their weaklings who just couldn't beat the thalmor, and now, the empire is doing its best to keep the thalmor happy. and there are 4 dif factions, if you count the blades. but they are just idiots for believing that no dragon can ever be a good guy ( however, their membership has decreased to just two people, so their probably gonna die out soon enough. and they don't want control of skyrim, so its pointless to even bother with them. back to the topic at hand, in my own personal opinion, the dragon born should be given the option to destroy the two racist factions, and the one that cant defend itself, so that the dragon born can establish a new government to control all of tamriel. wouldn't that be great?

pretty much, cause lets face it, everyone else in the game fails at ruling

Though it would be an interesting concept, of having what follows next, being decided by which side most of us supported.
