	Log in to remove this sponsored message Yes I did. That didn't work either. Even without the perk, the enchanted weapons still show up when you go to the grindstone. You just can't upgrade them. Silver weapons never even show up in the list. -------------------

	Just enchant a weapon with Turn Undead, essentially the same thing since they'll never attack you.

I actually made a silver sword that had a turn undead enchantment, but the damage sucked due to the lack of upgrades. -------------------

	This kind of perturbs me. I suppose what this means is that the devs overlooked this obvious choice of weaponry, instead focusing on the only other possible use for silver ingots, which is jewelry. I like having the option to create jewelry, but if I could only do one or the other, I'd rather be able to upgrade silver weapons. ------------------- May the Lord my rock be praised, who trains my hands for battle and my fingers for warfare. 	It can't be done. I have smithing 100. I have created weapons and armor in multiple forges throughout skyrim and silver swords cannot be upgraded. Sorry bro. Dawnbreaker is a good weapon early on. Also put a point in one handed weapons column for bone breaking mace ability and get yourself an ebony mace and upgrade it. Enchant it with fire and watch the undead drop... um... dead again.

I guess I'll just sell them then. The silver swords do sell for a lot. Could you just try it for me though? Get a silver weapon in your inventory then go to the grindstone. See if it shows up in the list at all. You shouldn't need a silver ingot, I don't think. so i was going to ask if have the perk to improve enchanted weapons but i take it that you do. but i have enchanted silver swords if that helps

	If you went with a light armor class and not heavy in smithing. Silver weapons can be made into enchanted deadric weapons at the atronach forge. The forge will generate a random deadric weapons with a random enchantment compatible with what u probly have if you have decent enchanting. Trouble is the forge requires a sigil stone to be operated wich you only get once you master a certain school of magic.(at least that's the only way I've found it) if you have one all you need is a deadra heart ebony ingot greater soul gem(filled) and a silver sword. Put into offering box and pull the switch.

	By the same token the forge can make armor and multiple staffs the I think would be associated with whatever school of magic you used to acquire the stone.(master)

	Unfortunately they can not be upgraded. After about level 10 they are basically useless. I would recommend finding a weapon with a damage bonus against undead enchantment and breaking it down to add that to another weapon.
