Only create one character? - Page 2

Nope, not on the 360 at least, I just tested it out. I manual saved my character (with a backup just in case) and started a new game. The auto-manual-save thing in Helgen created a new save. Both of my manual saves previously were unaffected.

I had a thief archer as my main character this month. I hard-saved before and after each time I successfully pickpocketed an item. Yesterday I had a friend try out the game. He didn't bother to save because he knew he wouldn't be playing it on my PS3 much. His auto-saves overwrote my hard-save file of my main character. There is a glitch in the game... I just dunno what set it off this time. I have had plenty of characters going at the same time on Skyrim. This is the first time this has happened to me. But all that is on my PS3 at the moment is three auto-save files from his new character.

I had a problem like this but when i made a new person it wuld be the last save i.made even if it were auto. But i have had some here my auto saves overwrite other saves on the same character. I remember vilkas died but he had like 50 dragon bones and scales, krosis etc. Thankfully he turned up to my wedding but unfortinately it happened with nadia aswell still with lots of good stuff -_-

Then make two saves if it keeps happening, because only one should get overwritten.

Or perhaps other people are just contributing to the thread to help people out with their gameplay experience.
