Headphones don't work with Skyrim

	Log in to remove this sponsored message I'm using Sennheiser PC151 headphones but whenever I choose it from audio manager, Skyrim crashes at main menu. What can I do about this? I'm using windows 7 and skyrim is original copy, thanks in advance :/

	Your headphones use a standard 3.5mm connector, you shouldn't have to select or configure anything. Just plug them into your speakers or directly to the audio jack on your computer and sound will be routed to them. If you could give us a screen shot of what's happening to you that would be helpful.

I don't use my headphones that way. They are always plugged in(because I use audio jacks behind my case) and whenever I want to use them, I choose them as primary audio device. Game works fine with this setting. When I choose my headphones as default, game crashes as soon as main menu appears and no error code or anything.

	Ok, found the solution. Tried changing every different setting of my headphones and apparently Skyrim doesn't support 192000 Hz frequency and this causes an instant crash. I've changed to 96000 and it works now. Thanks for help anyway

	Cool. I was about to say the solution I found involves setting it to 24 bit at 44100, but you're getting better quality than that and it's working. I'll have to make a note of that.

I'll have to make a note of that. after some gameplay, I've noticed that 96000 also causes problems. It doesn't crash but some sound effects are kinda ruined, especially conversations. Didn't have any problem at 48000 though.
