	Log in to remove this sponsored message I'm terribly stuck at a pillar-puzzle in the caverns of Folgunthur, one of the locations for the quest "Forbidden Legend". More precisely it's the second puzzle, where you're suppose to open a barred gate in the floor: Which leads to a spiral staircase leading downwards. I have no idea what to do. I've tried everything.. I would greatly appreciate any help!! skyrim, folgunthur, &34forbidden legend&34

	Not entirely sure... but I was in a quest like this with the floor and a gate over it... up the stairs is a little button on the wall.

	According to IGN, http://www.ign.com/wikis/the-elder-scrolls-5-skyrim/Forbidden_Legends, the sequence should be(facing the tiles): Eagle -> Whale -> Snake. But it doesn't work.

Do you mean the lever hanging from a chain above the bars? According to IGN you're suppose to pull that lever after entering the right sequence. Hasn't worked so far though

	I had the same issue at first, I don't know how I fixed it exactly, but what I did was I reversed the icons (IE Snake->Fish->Eagle), then pulled the chain, then moved the pillars back to the correct positions and pulled the chain again and it worked. I think it might be a glitch or something. If it is a glitch it seems this dungeon is full of them, because the next puzzle is an interlocking circle puzzle and I've tried every combination of different animals and it won't open for me.

	...facepalm...thanks. I was going by the wall paintings, as that was what I did for the last...however many dungeons had this type of puzzle.

One solution starts with... "There are two levers, one by each throne".. is the the one you want? (Dont wanna type it all out if it isn't) OR is it "There are four levers, each moving a particular set of the four portcullisus (gates)..."
