Guilds and side quests

Weekly new quests sounds like a great idea to me, and that would actually work out even more if there was some sort of multiplayer mode

That'd require Xbox live or PSN etc and thats not fair on alot of people, they shouldnt miss out on main game content in that way.

I'd like to see Morrowinds guild features return. You did quests for various people in the guild, but you could only progress ranks if you had a certain level of skill (In sneak for example, if in the thieves guild) and have finished a certain set of quests.

This feature was more realistic I believed, because you couldn't just make a brute Orc in heavy armor become the Theives Guild leader like in Oblivion.

Also I'd like to see a guild relating to an underground group of assassins (The DB in Oblivion) and the return of the old Guilds, Mages, Fighters and Thieves.

Also, I'd like to see more guilds than Oblivion had. In Morrowind you had the same 4 (mage, fighters, thieves, assassins) but you also had the Legion, the Chapel, the Temple, and the Three houses. I'm hoping Skyrim goes a little more along those lines so we can have more options.

Weekly Quests sounds awesome. I would love to see it happen. Online would be better than built in, though. If they can implement that, then special rewards like holiday equipment or just themed equipment would be amazing.

Also, the more guilds, the better until you reach about 15-20. As I said in the "What would you like to see" thread, only being able to join a couple guilds on a character would be interesting. Might not work out how I would think, but it would still be neat to see how it would work.

I do agree it would favor the online community for the weekly quests, but would it be too hard to have a batch of quests for offline (as in, if the game doesn't detect a connection on whatever day the quests are given, you get offline quests), but if you're connected to XBL, you get whatever quests are up for that week? I wonder how hard that would be...

I just really like the idea of an online quest thing, I guess. It would mean constantly and consistently new content. It's obviously possible. Bungie does stuff like this everyday, so once a week is hardly a stretch. However, Bungie is famous for it's activity within it's community. Bethesda, not so much. They just make awesome games. This isn't to say they can't start, though.

would it favor online community? sure. This is the age of social networking and the ability to hop online and download the new weekly quests would enhance the replayability of this game.
