KINGDOMS OF AMALUR: RECKONING FOR GOTY

Sure it had it's issues, but it kept me playing for many solid months; sooo fun to play and it had me completely engrossed in the gameplay, and the mechanics of which in particular


Hopefully I might get a chance to play Lego LOTR today for the first time (which along with Dragons Dogma are my new games); haven't got around to PS3 yet, what with usual Christmas family meets, work, and a host of new films & books to keep me distracted


& I also have access to Heavy Rain but have no interest in playing it. I'm sure the storyline is brilliant, but I need to enjoy gameplay when I'm gaming; that looks dead boring I would very happily read it as a book, and personally believe it would be superior in that media.

I've only played runescape once which was about 3 years ago at the urging of my friends. Played for 5 minutes, looked like a cluster*bleep* of random shit, got bored and never played it again. That was probably quite short-sighted but considering how there isn't much in terms of gameplay I wouldn't have enjoyed it if I did play it for a longer time.

Artirtico I've played a bit of Kingdoms of Amalur, it was great. I've been thinking about picking it up.

EDIT: Holy shit, it's still $40 on Amazon.

Also, anyone played Modnation Racers? Is it any good?

It's a great kart racing game nnnddd101010 but the loading times aren't worth it. I'm not even exaggerating when I say I got my laptop out at the start of a loading screen and watched a 10 minute video and still had a few minutes to wait around for it to load They have patched it since I played but I went back to see and it didn't seem like they had improved too drastically. So I'd think about that before you think about buying it, it's a good game, just not worth the loading times :/
All I have left of the Conquest Mode battles now in DW7 are the Alliance Battles, Legendary Battles and the Treasure Weapon Battles(Which granted is still about half of the board). Will have plenty of time to get them done over the next few weeks, now that Christmas is over my hours in work will start going down, I'm going to aim to have the Platinum by the end of January but we'll see

It's just such good fun I mean the gameplay itself isn't up to some other things, but then that's not really what it's going for anyway, and it's certainly still good enough to keep me entertained. Definitely liking the additional 'platforming/puzzle' elements now that Legolas, Gimli and Sam have teamed up - right at the beginning I could've used a few extra explanations of stuff, since there was a lot I couldn't do anything with or didn't know what it was, but getting to Rivendell sorted a lot of that out (I've just got to Moria now) Wasn't quite expecting so many breakables - makes area traversal take some while for somebody that has to smash everything, but I'm getting rich in the process so all is good!
LOVE the humour; that coupled with it being LOTR is what's making it epic for me. Ringwraith pulling out a surfboard, the Mithril shirt being a 'body piece' etc etc, though for some reason, what put me into hysterics was Saruman so aggressively smacking that moth So yes, I'm having fun

That's every LEGO game in a nutshell with the humour, it really is brilliant. And yeah in future playing LEGO games if you ever do again, know that you won't be able to do everything in each level first time, for example in the Star Wars ones there would be specific things that would need someone from the Dark Side to use the force, which couldn't be done until you unlocked them after the game is completed. I don't waste TOO much time collecting extra studs either because I know from previous games that some of the Red Bricks will be Score x2, x4, x6, x8 and x10. And those stack so when all of them are active a single grey stud can get you over 7000 studs
