Codemasters has revealed a new feature for its forthcoming sequel GRID 2 in the form of LiveRoutes.
LiveRoutes dynamically changes the layout of tracks as players race, the developer and publisher revealed during the Eurogamer Expo.
When LiveRoutes is switched on, the sections of a track will be different from one lap to the next, subsequently resulting in, for example, a straight road turning into bends. The idea is refreshing as it'll certainly add variety to races, with unexpected road layouts sure to be a challenge for players who are relishing exactly that.
GRID 2 is currently scheduled for a release on consoles and PC sometime during 2013. Its first gameplay footage, meanwhile, was recently released by Codemasters.
