As usual (on the stages where you're not required to kill him) regular attacks don't 'effect' him whatsoever (even on 'Normal' difficulty) The old (albeit cheap) trick of using a musou attack, running around (on red health) til it's charged up again and repeating still works though Lu Bu does seem to target you directly, rarely being distracted by allied troops but it still means that the 'You Can Pursue Lu Bu' Trophy isn't really that tricky...it just takes one heck of a lot of running around

'Random comment that hasn't fit into a thread so far' - I LOVE the music that's always played directly after somebody has died in Kingdom Mode. It does sound rather similar to a Hans Zimmer piece from 'The Last Samurai' soundtrack but all the same, it's amazing and I want it on ipod!

I don't think Lu Bu's nearly as scary. Especially since he doesn't stalk you like a wounded deer anymore. And, from what I've seen of his move set being used on me, it doesn't seem AS vicious.

Lu Bu got toned down super hard imo.

Especially in comparison to DW6 Lu Bu.

DW6 Lu Bu can die in a ditch somewhere...

Archers are the scariest thing in the game(reclaiming their rightful throne)

Archers have made me fail a few missions tbh. They're a pain in the arse.

First thing I do in every engagement is run straight past the general and sweep out the archers. If there's a ton (like on those Rare Weapon missions) I have at least one Projectile Resistance on.

Won't you have to start on at least hard difficulty? Generals die so quickly, even Lu Bu.

And what the hell is with the catapults/ambushing? Doesn't add depth to the gameplay at all, it's just for show/is very shallow.

Ballistas are annoying!!, this game's story mode gets repetitively annoying with the reinforcements and ambushes send to the main camp, it happens in most of the story mode battles. Conquest..argh... as cool as it is too play as any character, its tedious with the loading to any stage, also repetitive. I mean with out the story events and movies, Dw is VERY repetitive,HOWEVER, DW implemented objectives, more than just kill the officers and then the leader, that was nice. Conquest mode objectives get repeated too much. Personally I though it was more of "A Conquest" as in a little bit of empire included... but it isnt , just a bunch of fictional scenarios. To top it all off... the legendary battles for the majority of the characters are pretty lame, very few are story oriented and what Koei calls its "originals " are just really... really lame.

NOt all though, for instance Yuen Ying's was lame. Lui Shan was cool, was ok, Zhou Tai,semi ok, Dian Wei's...LLAAEEMOOO... and Zhange He, was hilarious, it was ok im not gona name everybody's but yeah Im just there to get each peeps original weapons and play story mode with them. Lu bu, that guy, he was made such a bad ass in previous dw, now, he's a pushover.

Gosh.. another thing I just remembered. Those scholar questions get Super hard once you freed all the cities. As in ridiculously hard, e.g. HOw many times Cao Cao takes a dump in a day?, my point is gets really detailed lmao.


My reply may seem depreciative but IM just pointing out things that scream at you as you play, as in, its pretty obvious to see it. I love DW though, just think is time they wrap up already and made the last well made DW I mean this one was way better than the rest, but yeah come on its DW 7 already...

Yeah, the pronunciations are weird at first, but I'd much rather be saying it right. I love Sun "Chwen" now, haha. The only one I can't get down with is "Jew-guh" Liang over "Jew-gay" Liang..... there's really no non-offense way to spell those how they sound huh?
