Question guys. If I make a wall of glass blocks, can that be destroyed by monsters if you're in your shelter? I made a glass house so I was wondering what would happen at night when the freaks come out.

The mobs can't destroy the glass...Unless you make a creeper blow up right next to it

You can go down to bedrock and count up layers. Lava most often spawns in layers 1-10, but diamond can spawn from layers 1-17. So when mining for diamond, you'd want to stick to 11-17 layers above bedrock. I don't know if that's exactly what you meant, but it's a helpful tip nonetheless

Lava can spawn at any layer. but it spawns more often the closer to bedrock you go.
