Looking for a new phone...

Right, so it's time I need to look for a new phone. Was seriously looking at the Galaxy Note/Galaxy Note II - but it's a bit pricey and where I have a Dell Streak, although I like the size of the screen, it's a little embarrassing and hard holding it against the side of your face. So ideally, I could do with something the size of the Galaxy S2. I just don't want to make the same mistake again as I did with the Dell Streak, therefore I need to choose the right handset. If I was to buy the Galaxy S2 (even though it's a little out of date now) would there be updates for the OS or is 4.0 (I think that's on it) is good enough?

Is comparing the Galaxy S2 to a Dell Streak like comparing a Ferarri to a Mini Cooper?

Galaxy SII is a very good phone, I do enjoy mine. However, why don't you save your pennies and invest in the Galaxy SIII? It'll last you longer than the SII will, saving you headaches further down the line.

That's the thing, I haven't got the money for the S2 now - but it'll be easier for me to get as it's cheaper. As the S3 is dearer than the Galaxy Note. I can get a Galaxy S2 for £299.

I would wait to read the reviews. The S3 is amazing, my sister has one and its great fun to play with. The OG Note is also great, but obviously, the size may be an issue. Of the lot of phones you've listed, I'd suggest the S3 f you can afford it.

is it an official ICS and JellyBean update or root?

Any idea how much data a phone would use? I'm on unlimited and use my phone to check Twitter and e-mails every 10minutes or so (habbit) and o was thinking of getting a contract, but the offer is something like 400MB to 500MB. Would that be enough a month?

Pompey Fan, it honestly depends on how much you take advantage of WiFi. Over the past week, I've used over 400MB though. This is with email checking, Twitter, Facebook messages, Reddit, checking websites, and installing a few apps. I've also forgotten to use WiFi most of the time recently so the amount of contract data I've used could have been dropped to 50MB if I really wanted given how available WiFi is around me.

I've purchased the Galaxy SII and I'm delighted so far. Only have 1GB data but I will have to use it wisely without any streaming (only on wi-fi)

Bloke told me there is an app called 'angel' something? It's good to sort out all your data and what you're using etc.

I think you should buy samsung galaxy...it has all the features that is require in smart phone..
