your opinons on the droid 4

For some reason, I want the droid 4. It has really cool features but what do you hink.

Screen resolution is crap though. I would wait because as soon as you buy it the Droid 5 will be out. I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Im on it right now actually. I love it more than i ever did my Droid.

I'm only able to upgrade in 2013. I got my phone in 2011. Sucks...... I really want a the droid 4. ( or maybe a droid razr maxx but I need the keyboard so I guess I'll go with the droid 4

Shadow The HedgehogX, the thing about smartphones is that you have to really think about whether or not the keyboard is actually worth it. I mean the Droid 4 has a solid design and structure but it is to the point of being "too large" and its pretty unnecessary to have the slideout keyboard with the current software keyboards. Don't knock em until you give them a true shot.

Wilhelm Ryan, I'd definitely recommend the Razr Maxx over the Droid 4 simply because of the thinner design and much much longer battery life. I mean, they are pretty much the same phone, but the Razr Maxx can last all day...

ctrl, what do you mean the screen resolution is crap? Its 960*540 which is above average for current smartphones. The only reason the Galaxy Nexus is much higher is because it is artificially larger, but I won't take away that it is better. Just like the Rezound's is better.

tommex, the GSIII should be coming out in May/June at the earliest The GSII lasted and is still lasting quite a while so I wouldn't doubt the 3 would be great for some time. Really like whats coming with HTC's upcoming reveals though...

Okay let me elaborate and clarify. The display screen itself is crap. It uses a qHD display which is highly dated, where-as all the better phones(like mine :3 ) use whats called a Super AMOLED Advanced display which is the state-of-the-art display currently on the market. Here let me cite you a source that can put it into better words. And they already tried out the Droid 4.

Which is why I elaborated and clarified. But you have to understand that by using an outdated screen, the depth and colors of whatever resolution displayed is watered down all because of the screen. I can hook my laptop up to my HDTV and set the resolution all the way up. Doesn't mean it looks clear or well without a quality screen it's projected on(it looks blurry and poo when I do btw).

You didn't really clarify the statement on the resolution being crap though which I what I commented on. qHD isn't very dated and it really wasn't utilized by any phones other than a select few like the Atrix and Vivid. The screen itself is shit (I mean who uses Standard LCDs anymore?) but the resolution isn't (that was my point).

Also, can I have your phone?

I hate the Droid series, they've always been too bulky for me and with the exception of the 4, their CPUs have lagged slightly behind everything else out there. I had no problem ditching a physical keyboard when I got my Samsung Instinct four years ago (before Android was even available, wow).
