I bought a WP7 on Saturday!

I've been looking at WP7 phones for a while and have been intrigued by them. I bought the Nokia Lumia 710 for £100. I wanted a phone that was quick and performed well. The Android phones I've bought before has lacked this, and my low budget has prevented me from getting an Android phone with higher specs.

I did read beforehand that none of the WP7 phones will be getting WP8. This didn't bother me too much, as my previous phones haven't been great with updates either. I was only able to upgrade to 2.3 on my Wildfire with a custom rom, and the stock ICS on my WT19i performed awfully.

I'm so far impressed with the Lumia 710. The lack of apps compared to the Play Store isn't a big deal as it still has all the apps I regularly used on my old phone. I still have my GTab2 as well so I won't be giving up the Android experience entirely

Has anyone bought or are planning on buying a Chromebook?

I've ordered one of the new ones and it should arrive today. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

So, anyone want to turn their Android device in to a gaming machine?

Tomski, I'm curious why you went for a second laptop instead of something like a tablet. They are great for web browsing around the house and other places, especially depending on how much you move around and share the screen. The Chrome book though has the keyboard and an equally fast boot/resume time.

Tomski, depends on what you're trying to do and the tablet size, the 7" are too small for my liking. I love laying chest up in my bed and just browsing. But you are right that productivity wise, a real computer is better. I can't do work as well on my laptop as I can on my desktop because I love the extra screen space, real mouse, and full keyboard.
