So far, after owning the phone for almost two months and a couple things I've noticed is that out of the box the phone is ok for battery life but it can be improved with tweaks to settings, how you use it (active widgets, animated backgrounds etc) and by turning off services you don't need at the moment (wifi, bluetooth, gps) you can get a much better cycle.

By default there's no way to turn off the shutter sound for the camera. I've gotten around this by rooting my phone and adjusting a setting that turns off the shutter sound when I have the phone on silent.

The beep/vibrate when the phone is charged at 100% often wakes me up. I haven't implemented any sort of solution for this yet but it does exist, just haven't gotten around to it.

I somewhat miss the ability to group apps into folders but that's a minor detail that has to do with Android rather than the S2. I'm running 2.3.3 btw.

What I miss dearly though is the ability to control my phone while listening to music via the remote buttons on my earphones. I can pause/play but going forwards/backwards a track is something I can't do. I've also noticed the volume isn't as loud as the iPhones which is another thing I miss.

You can't use folders? What on earth? Almost every 3rd party launcher, and most ROMs come with folder support. Even HTC Sense had it. Try installing a MIUI ROM if you're rooted, it may be more to your tastes.

Also weird about the headphones. HTC handsets come with headphones that do that, but you could always just buy a set with that functionality?
