On a Desire? Root with unr3voked and it should do flash clockworkmod for you. Or at the least, it used to.

Even with a stock RUU flashed, is your recovery not still clockworkmod? Do you know how to get into recovery mode manually?

Hold volume down then press power, on the HBOOT menu click recovery? It isn't rooted any more though so I just get the picture of the phone with the red triangle.

I've sent it off now so it doesn't really matter.

Quick guess is that you're on MIUI-XJ? If so... it should do it automatically?

Also, you've partitioned your microSD card with like, Gparted or another technique, right?

I'm using MIUI Au. Partitioned my SD card with Gparted and I have plenty of space now, but still no app2sd.

This version of MIUI doesn't seam to have a dictionary installed, any idea how to get one?

Does anyone know if rooting/flashing a rom on the Droid 2 Global has a different procedure then the Droid 2 itself?

I've been looking, but can't find anything. Ended up using the Z4 method to root my Droid 2 Global, which worked well. Actually got perm-rooted by pressing one button. Love the screen cap/wireless tether apps.

Looking into rooting my Samsung Galaxy S, looked at a few guides and seems kind of complicated though.

It's not that complicated at all really, as long as you follow the instructions properly. Hell, I rooted both of my Desire Z drunk and it turned out fine.

Fletchr, did you do a full wipe before flashing the ROM? If not, do so, if you did, wipe again and reflash, wiping your Dalvik cache too in advanced on clockworkmod recovery.
