I'm just waiting for another paycheck or two before I get the R2D2 Droid 2. I've currently got an EnV Touch and its definitely time to replace it.

I have the regular Droid. It's a bit heavy, but the full QWERTY keyboard is nice.

Well, as some may know I don't have my Droid Eris anymore. I've currently got the Droid 2, which I'm in love with.

I actually got this phone for free. Don't get me wrong, I loved my Eris, but it just gave me so many problems. I ended up going through five of them. Four of them had issues with the trackball where it just wouldn't scroll in a direction, or it would scroll without being touched, making it hard to type. So I finally had enough of it and complained straight to Verizons technical support (not customer support, their main tech people). These people are the only ones at Verizon that can send you a different phone than what you already have, because of an agreement they have with the phone manufactures. I was able to get a free upgrade to the Droid 2, which I was fully happy with.

I had my Droid 2 set to stock for a long time, because I didn't have much of a need to root it or flash a custom ROM to it. It had Android 2.2 on it, it was running at good speeds, so I didn't have much of a reason to do anything to it. Only recently I decided to root it, mostly for wireless tether, and then within the past few days I've been playing with the Fission ROM, 2.1. It got rid of the Blur UI that Motorola put on their phone. I can't wait for version 3, which is to be full Android Open Source, minus the necessary drivers from Motorola.

Currently own an LG Xenon (non droid phone), but I'll be buying a droid phone as soon as Gingerbread hits the market, which is hopefully still a little while away!
