Game becomes unplayerble thanks to invaders.

Ok right now im trying to farm souls to level my character but every time i try im always invaded which is making it unplayable because the hit detection is awful! i manage to side step around my invader and went for a back stab and all of a sudden he ends up backstabbing me instead !!! wtf ?!!

Everytime i get invaded i just switch it off there no point in fighting , they like use this OP spells and there not even facing the same direction and they still seem to hit me with them , like i spent quite a while farming the humanity i have and i dont like the idea of losing it to some shoddy hit detection .

this has been going on for a good hour now and im starting to lose my patience i would fight them if it was a fair fight but im not gonna fight when the advantage is in there favor for no reason whatsoever other than they have a better connection that the host??

The old lag stab. It sucks. I still play online but it is annoying to get invaded when all you want to do is summon someone to help you and instead you get invaded and then killed.

If you want to farm souls do it in an area where you have beaten the boss, do it as a hollow or do it online. There is no reason to turn human again after farming for souls and being killed.

I am also a bit surprised that people get invade so much. There a few areas like the forest, oolacile township and may some other places I feel you get invaded often, but otherwise I run around all the time in human form and hardly ever get invaded.

Maybe it's because I've only ever played offline until recently, but I don't mind the invasions. Like if I'm walking around human I know I'm just asking to be invaded. It does get a bit frustrating when you're trying to get help for a boss and you get invaded, but it's no reason to go saying the game has become unplayable.

And to add, it does seem like there are only a few places where invasions occur. Like I walked through Sen's Fortress all the way to the Depths and then to Fire Link and didn't get invaded. Went to farm the Black Knights where Gwyn is/was and was getting invaded left and right.

I get invaded at some of the most random areas and moment just trying to summon my buddy to play (him as well vise versa). Would be nice to say heres my sign and have hive be able to get it before he starts being invaded and it cancels out his summon.

Just about an hour ago and invading player almost ruined my game save i was in anor london at the bonfire where night solaire resides , when im upgrading my weapons and armor at the bonfire when all of the sudden it kicks me out of the menu and then i get the message saying someone has invaded and like this guy was tough !! he had this like 1h sword that was like fire attack aswell and it was like ripping though my health .

But he makes depletes his stamina which enables me to to get a couple decent hits with my zwiehander and like i too about 80% of his health but b*stard run into the bonfire room and somehow hit knight solaire and he starts attacking me?i end up getting ganked by both of them and when i revive im instantly attacked by knight solaire and like i dont want to kill him because i wanna join the covenant and hes a great help versus bosses .

It took me an hour to fine some glitchy invisible ledge to get me back so i could go to firelink shrine back into the bell tower so i could speak to that guy to absolve my sins i was f*cking pissed at this cheap lousy guy who almost wrecked my gamesave because he was going to lose the fight to someone weaker than he was....... pathetic

anyway to turn pvp off if you dont want to play it?

The way of white covenant is supposed to minimize invasions, both you and your buddy should try joining it and see how well it works. Remaining undead or playing offline is the definitive solution though, mi first playtrough in both Demons and Dark souls I played offline to get a feel of the game and to level up without unwanted visitors. Regarding lag stabs, OP magic and such..........well, yep, the game is full of those, we've had many previous discusions regarding those points and sadly the only solution is to cope with it. Developers won't adress those issues, they never had, and with Dark Souls II on the way I doubt they'll bother. Lag is something the single player campaign won't prepare you for, and as such the only way to understand it and get used to it is to play online and experiment. WOW does nothing. They pretty much said it doesnt work like they wanted. We have been in every cov and NONE neither reduce invasions or help with summons, its all BS and the only part of covs that somewhat work are the invading ones.
This wouldnt be such an issue if you could summon easier as well. there is no reason invaders take such a precedence that it totally removes summon signs and causes summoning failed so much.
Playing offline is also boring as shit. this game is not a SOLO game, its just too slow, no story and boooring alone. The game itself is not that difficult in fact we HAD to play the first 3/4 offline because we pre ordered and the coop was such crap the first year we couldnt summon anyone. So in reality we went straight from not being able to summon people, to a patch that half assed fix it to now dealing with invaders every 5 seconds.
as stated from has no idea what they are doing on many fronts. they are good at creating mood and atmosphere but pretty much suck at creating somewhat even RPG elements and programming for online. The offline game works great but is just snoozeville and the online is just atrocius.
FROM ruined dark souls from the beginning with non stop bad decisions from going with NAMCO on.

I will try DS2 but again buy it used, I want either a full regression back to demon souls style online (which was 110% better than dark) or the 7 days return policy that comes with used games.

There is no reason ANY consumer who paid good money for something shoudl be FORCED to only use half a product because the creators cant get their shit together.
