Just about the only thing left of PVP

Constant double teaming, always the same thing. I will concentrate on host, then get backstabbed by the other player. Or it could just be one person, spamming Wrath of Gods and other OP spells. Then occasionally, I get someone who is neither, end up killing them, and get little to no reward. Btw in Forest Hunter, because darkmoon can't get me into a world to invade.

I was in the darkwraiths to practice PVP and when trying to do honorable duels in the places people are supposed to do them (forest, anor londo) people just gank you with 2 phantoms then act tough with those lame gestures.
Just to be a jerk I invaded a few people in levels and whent here were was extra help I just did what others do to me and ran ahead to where the level enemies are and then attacked in a group. I would win that way. A few time I would hide and while they were fighting npc enemies I would just step out and they would freak and get killed by the NPCs. To me this was lame, not fair and I felt I really ruined someones play experience.

I found there is NO punishment to losing an invasion. You go in and if you kill them the host loses their place, they lose their help, they get their game ruined, they get frustrated, they lose any expendables they used, and have to get their stuff back and depending where they left it it could be impossible for them BUT if they summon help they can get invaded again and lose it for good.
If I die my stuff is right where I was brought into the board and I just grab it in 3 seconds. I dont lose my humanity or human form and can get right back to invading and ruining peoples games.
I honestly like (and rejoined) the darkmoons because Im only invading those who cause trouble to people and usually can win those.
Its odd, when I invade as a darkmoon I can win most of mine even a few 2 on one but when invaded or invading as a darkwraight I get creamed, YET darkmoon gives you no humanity reaward.

I think as a Darkmoon wearing teh ring I should get summoned into someones world when a dark wraith invades them to help them out.

Thing is people willl say the invader is a much lower level then you but most people stop around 150 so most of the invaders I PM usaually are the same level if not a few higher (but much better prepared and stated out for PVP).
I think if you invade and get beaten YOU LOSE your stuff period. Invasions in teh game just dont work right, the online system is not well equipped and in all honesty the invaders do have the advantage because they have endless help of enemies. Me and my buddy always say if you invade the area shoudl get locked off for BOTH the invader and host and all NPC's removed for the battle. Then if the invader is killed invasions should be off limits until board completion.... its stink that literally you kill one invader and 3 seconds later you're invaded again.
PLUS almost every stupid invader runs around with one hit dark magic now.
You nerf lightning weps, eagle sheild, grain ring, child mask and anything else that was decent but make all dark magic one hit kills. Im sorry FROM but you suck at making PvP system, your coop is decent but your PVP skill just blow.

I don't know if this is all obvious or anything but I PVP in the gardens because of dark magic. If you stay where the trees are thick, it's very easy to just jump behind a tree when you see them cast, and I stay in their face as much as possible, the closer you are the safer. Just roll into them and most of the magic passes you, the dark magic homing masks are slow so it's easy to get behind a tree. I haven't been killed in weeks by dark magic unless there were two people using it.

When it comes to explaining why you win as a darkmoon and get creamed as a darkwraith is not that strange to me. As a Darkmoon you invade any level below your own, but only 10+10% of your level upwards if I remember correctly. As a darkwraith you invade 10% below you own level and unlimited upwards. So your easy wins most likely come form fighting players at lower levels, but meeting someone above you means destruction.

As to Demon's Souls I agree I liked some of its PVP aspect is better than Dark Souls. However, in Demon's Souls you were able to de-level your character making life very hard for low level players

Since double teaming and dark magic were mentioned in this thread I'll give up two little stories of mine to correspond with each.

When I completed my Darkwraith profile for the first time and decided to really start tryin out pvp seriously I decided to go to a place where I thought people went for fair 1v1 duels instead of invading in a place where people are actually trying to beat the stage such as sens or anor londo because that usually leads to host panicking and doing crazy stuff.

So anyways I went to the Kiln. Got a few fair fights but then one invasion as soon as I came up at the bottom of stairs in Kiln I saw 3 people in front of me. the guy the in the middle did not approach me the whole fight but he cast tranquil walk of peace as soon as I entered while the other 2 ran up and proceeded to beat me like a pinata. I was stunned that someone did that and when I tried to invade again I got those people a second time so I just turned around, shrugged, and let them kill me.

Ever since then I've done PvP at the Burg which brings us to our next topic, Dark magic. I was actually using my newest complete SL125 Darkmoon Paladin build that Aura helped me work on. Rockin Artorias armor with Obby greatsword and 6 wrath of Gods for emergencies among many other things in my Arsenal. So I was actually a blue phantom this fight being in the Darkmoon which I'm sure people don't see much of in invasions, and anyways I actually refrain from using wrath of the Gods because I have other things I can use like the 2h AoE that the Obsidian sword has and prefer to save the miracle counterpart for emergencies.

So I win a few fights with just my sword and Composite bow (for when they leave themselves open with a charge time spell like flame tempest or gravelord sword dance). But then walks in the Harbinger of Suffering, a Dark Mage. He starts the battle catching me off guard with a Soul Spear that knocks a huge chunk of my health off and then uses 1 pursuers that I dodged till it depleted my some miracle. After that he started to spam dark bead so I rolled into him and started spamming wrath of the Gods which he actually escaped after I got him with it but caught up to him and continued it again with both of us at low health by this point and one time the charge timing on both our spells was just right so my shock wave released right as the Flurry of Dark Beads left his Catalyst and we killed each other simultaneously, It was beautiful. But anyways, glad I had something I could spam back incase of Dark Bead, fight spam with spam
