Getting the game - Page 3

Yea I found the Iaito but I went soul farming in the darkroot garden and joined the hunters and went and bought the uchi from Shiva of the East in blighttown, because I really want to avoid killing npc's that might be usefull. Now I'm gonne try and kill Sif, go to basin and then go back on track in Sen's fortress. Finally also found a better bow (the one from the hunter in darkroot forest, it wasn't much better but it was a start at least) and when I upgraded it I went to basin and found the longbow which has better damage -.- .

I've got it up to +5 and it allready gives me more raw damage (not considering the bleed damage) than my drake sword. It's a real shame that the drake sword doesn't scale cause then it would really be an OP weapon. God I'm really loving fighting with this weapon.

Ok So I'm really liking these Uchigatana weapons (good speed, reach, usefull strong attaks) so I made an electirc uchigatana +4 atm. But I was thinking of maybe getty a fire element Uchigatana for other enemies. Now my question is: is the fire uchigatana +10 stronger than the +5 chaos uchitgatan (cause to me It's not really clear).

Do the type of attacks you get with the Furysword depend on the type of weapon you're using? Like would it make a difference if I made it with a falchion or with a uchigatana?

The reason I'm asking is that I hate that backflip attack of the falchion and I could definitly see it happen that I'm fighting on a small ledge and I fall off.

That's a real shame , I really don't like that cartwheel backflip attack... Oh well might get it on my second run through but I think I'll focus on getting my fire uchigatana first (and maybe a holy one as well cause I've heard there is a part in the game where holy weapons could really come in handy.)

An alternative to divine weapons is to use the Astora-sword, as it has the same function. you need 14 in Faith though

For him i used the Greatshield of Artorias & he pretty much was nothing to me, i liked farming the BlackKnights lol.

Greatshield of Artorias: Attacks blocked with the Greatshield of Artorias do not cause any status effect at all (the bar will not even appear) the attack must be blocked however.

Black Knight Shield: highly resistant to fire."

Eagle Shield: very stable, and deflect attacks
I'm sure there's others that are great but what matters is having a decent one period.

I almost killed him my 2nd time, he had a sliver of health.
I could sneezed on him & killed him but i wanted to farm BlackKnight weapons lol.
Did you farm any weapons from the BlackKnights ?
I missed a few weapons GRRRR lol.



Last night i got the Gravelord Sword WOOHOO!
it's strong but my axe has more reach.
Did you go back to the asylum, a BlackKnight to kill there too lol.
And how many hours a day you play this, because from your 1st post you've just gotten DarkSouls recently & you've beaten it.
It's like your not exploring just racing through lol.

I think I played for about 60 hours for my first play through iirc (can't check atm) and I was lvl 80 something. I did rush it a bit because I wanted to know the ending (which was kind of disappointing if you stay in the room and light the bonfire) but now I made a new character and I'm doing as much as I can

Yea i agree the end is disappointing & the lack of a CG intro when the game idles is disappointing too.
You made a new character ? You know you can continue a new+ with your original character right.
Weapons, armor, SoulLevel almost everything will be there

Your weapons will pretty much scale as you get stronger.
And & new game is a change to get a different weapon on the new play through that you've missed before.
You may have used a boss's soul for a shield on the new game you can create the sword.
Also new+ enemies get stronger.
