Best Weapon for a Strength Build?

Sterlin22, the first weapon that comes to mind is the Black Knight Great Axe (BKGA) which is prolly the most notorious Str build weapon. A lot of the others need to be buffed to be of any great use, either by GMW or CMW. But some other notable ones are:

• Golem Axe, while scaling with a C in Str, stunlocks/staggers EXTREMELY well so it's def work looking into. I haven't tested it, but I saw a PvP video with someone using it, and now I have it on my "to do" list of weapons to obtain on my Str build. (:
• Large Club or Great Club I have heard are great for their rolling R1 attacks. They are more of a buff weapon however, so you can use resins, or change your stats a bit to obtain GMW, which gives you 200 AR more, which is more than worth the stat investment imo.
• Man Serpent Greatsword is another great weapon to buff.

All in all, it requires a tad bit more investment than just regular Str for a Str build to be of use outside of BKGA, which is just a great weapon (And common) for Str builds.

Rings: Ring of Favor and Protection, Dark Wood Grain Ring

Spells: Greater Magic Weapon
Pyromancies: Power Within

Yes the fact it's A scaling in Str will more than make up for those 11pts lost in base damage. And it might be able to be enchanted as well, but I'm not sure. I highly suggest you look into GMW at the very least because it will increase your AR tremendously for little stat investment. (: But I mean, I understand if it's not your thing, just throwing that out there. ^~^

As Twilight said, you'll need 15 INT to cast GMW and you'll want the Oolacile Catalyst. It will add 200 AR (i don't even know what that stands for but I'm assuming it's pretty much "magic damage").

In my opinion it is not a waste of stats. You'll get 3 uses out of the spell and I'd couple it with Power Within (as I keep saying for all my builds). This will make you sexy.

I think GMW lasts for 60 seconds but if you use the Lingering Dragoncrest Ring while casting it you should get something like 90 seconds out of it. I'm not 100% sure about the durations though.

I think the formula for GMW is 1.1 x the magic adjust of your catalyst. So Oolacile's Cat has a magic adjust of 180. 180 x 1.1 = 198.

I would have to say if you can fully upgrade the Dragon Greatsword(Requires 50 str.) and you have the right stats it could be insanely devestating. I took out a SL100 with one backstab.
