The Kinect exclusive first-person action title Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor is a bit more than two months away from launch now, and Capcom is rounding out the game's feature list. At today's Capcom Captivate event, the company announced a four player online cooperative mode for Steel Battalion. No local co-op, of course, as you'll likely have your hands full figuring out the Kinect controls by yourself.
From what I've heard, Steel Battalion was a surprise favorite at PAX East this past weekend. Fun was had, though likely a different fun than Steel Battalion fans are used to. A lot of fans of the series have been skeptical, and will likely remain so until release. There's just such a huge difference between a large hands-on controller and now a controller/Kinect combination, even trailers aren't enough to convey how the game will play.
Capcom does its best to show as much as they can though, as you can see in this new trailer. We get to see a variety of different motions played out inside the hull of our Vertical Tank, all of which are likely very important to gameplay. It's not as fast-paced and twitch as say, Armored Core, but it will be no less engrossing.
Check out Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor when it releases June 19 on the Xbox 360.
