	Log in to remove this sponsored message Does anyone know or have any ideas/speculations about what's going on? How did DANTE, the man who makes devils cry, get captured? How come his hair looks like it's turning white instead of being white? How does this game tie in with the rest of the series? Where/when does this take place? Does anyone have any ideas?

	Speculation leads us to think it is before DMC3, before he is reuinted with Vergil. And who knows about his hair? Either they just want to give him a 'cool' (questionably) new look or it really does tie with the story- maybe the sons of Sparda turn white-haired as they near a certain age at which they will trigger their devilish state! 	If the game is a prequel to DMC3 then it will most likely follow the novels in which Dante had a fake alias and hid his identity. Since white hair appears to be linked to being part Devil (Dante, Vergil, Sparda, Nero) it's probable he dyed it black but it was originally white. From what I'm aware (which admittedly isn't a great deal) the novels speak of Dante's past involving him running away after his family (adoptive, I think?) was killed and taking the alias Tony Redgrave, so perhaps those who caught him are trying to get him to reveal his identity, maybe working with Mundus or someone else trying to eradicate Sparda's blood-line. ------------------- To the devil on my shoulder I can't help but listen, The angel never spoke to me, I guess I had a bad start, "He who fights monsters..." it is as it was written, Stared far too long and came out with a black heart.

	hows this for a story line, we all know from playing dmc 2 that at the end of the game he drives of into hell in serch of his brother. The second games story came after 4 so maybe this is when he got back from hell (maybe thats also why his hair is black) anyway just thought I would throw that one out there. ------------------- I am the ONLY overlord this world needs! From what I can tell (and this is just an educated guess), but it seems that in this installment, Dante is going through a rite of passage of sorts. Basically, he's a no good punk who doesn't care about what he does, or who he pisses off. 	Hey alpha zero, im not sure about that theory- Dante looks alot younger than he did during DMC2 (or even DMC1 and 4 for that matter!), although being trapped in Hell would explain the thin, almost anhorexic build this Dante has. 	I got another one and it's going to sound preaty stupid but what if this is Dantes son (just ironicly named Dante) like you said Dantess26 he looks yonger than Dante from the other games but you may also be right and this could be a prequel to the others. ------------------- I am the ONLY overlord this world needs! 	Yeah i thought that myself at one point- it could well be Dante's son. Could well be a Solid Snake/Naked Snake situation similar to Metal Gear Solid's symbolism between father and son. Would also explain this new Dante's irritating, downright cocky attitude. I would not mind if this was the case- as this would not mean a new look Dante, simply a new character in a different time. And as for the western setting- that article from the link was meaning the game is more westernised in general- the example someone used on the site was Resident Evil and how that has become westernised (a cover system). Games like Final Fantasy (due to the infusion of action elements in the latest instalments) are becoming westernised. Basically give a European or an American a big gun or a big sword and enemies to mash and we are happy. If you look a little closer at the buildings and surroundings in the trailers available for DmC, you'll notice that there's a lot of European influences in there. Not to mention Dante has a picture of the Union Jack on the left shoulder of his jacket. Also: quote supreme kai Well he's certainly in Europe and it appears that he is in London (Underground sign) at the beginning of the trailer and in Barcelona (appearance of the Sagrada Família) at the end — it would make infinitely more sense if he was of European descent when you take into account the length of the story's timespan and consider the fact that the typical western world was birthed here. Sparda was atypically British with a monocle and slicked back hair, and Dante is meant to have British overtones, perhaps Ninja Theory, the British developers have decided to fully embrace his nationality. On his makeover, Dante has a patch of white hair on the crown of his head, which I guess could turn white as the game progresses. I do believe this means we can expect it to be not only westernised, but for the majority of the game to take place in the western world. ------------------- Dark Souls \| Dark Souls II

	I can only wonder at Ninja Theory's patriotism! What about Fortuna? Mallet island does not really exist, and where is DMC3 set? It seems to be a post-apocalyptic city, London or more likely an American city. This would indicate it is set in the future. That's one thing i hate about DMC- too many ifs and buts revolving around the setting, characters and plotlines! ------------------- "The Sun sets forever over Blackwater Park... "

	I mite have something bare with me. ok in the begining of the trailer we clearly see a man (pressumed to be dante) being torchered while at the same time hes killing demons. what if the man being torchered is actualy virgil they are twins so that could explain why dante was fealling virgles pain also this would explain why virgle hates humanity. ------------------- I am the ONLY overlord this world needs! You can see why they'd want a new generation of fans- but from what everyone is saying, this look doesn't appeall to (most of) the millions that bought the first 3 DMC games! I did not recognize this char as Dante at all, my first thought "Oh shit another new char that I will be forced to play as when all I want to play as is Dante"..... They dont even look alike and DANTE DOES NOT SMOKE..... I like how Team Ninja thinks smoking makes you look cool.... Seeing this Dante makes me hate Twilight over 9,000x more.
