I find it hilarious that you're complaining about Shantotto, seriously her BRV spells are just diversions and they are pretty slow, except for that stun one and that one doesn't even stun you long enough for her to squeeze in a HP attack.

And the others aren't horribly overpowered either, in fact, once you have a good dodging reaction, they're pretty easy.

Feral Chaos on the other hand, is the only character that is horribly overpowered, Via Dolorosa is cheap as hell ;-;

Tbh, you're only complaining because you're still new to the game, after a while, you'll learn how to dodge and block properly.

Shantotto's dialogue? That's your own issue. And her small size? That's no excuse really, you have a lock on system, tiny size or not you SHOULD be able to hit her, unless you suck that bad.

That's why you should learn to dodge seraphic star, sure it moves towards you but a good dodge will easily stop you from getting hit.

That's why ultimecia's attacks can be Dashed through, except for the lance one, but she needed a better close range attack anyway.
Endless? The endless ones don't have homing, while the homing ones are slow, pretty balanced.
Apocalypse can be dodged or interrupted and all her other HP attacks leave her open, minus shockwave pulsar(grenade thing) but that's inaccurate as hell.

Null Void is laughably easy to evade, you can outrun it and you can easily interrupt it, one of his worst HP attacks since it leaves him wide open tbqh.
That's the point, his spells are supposed to be crazy, but they can be blocked, dashed through and dodged, that's not so unfair.

Laguna's satellite cannon takes a while before it actually shoots the laser, either you interrupt Laguna or dodge the laser, not that hard. Machine gun? It compensates by having low power.

That's because they buffed exdeath to the teeth, he used to be a punching bag in the original DFF, now? He's still a punching bag, though not as bad as he was in the original.
His attacks are all defensive moves, but the AI almost never uses them, they prefer using his absurdly slow HP and BRV attacks.
Did you notice that almagest takes a while before it actually explodes? Even if it does suck you in, it still takes a long time before it actually deals HP damage, that's your cue to attack and interrupt him.
Hell's gate? Again, learn to dodge and always keep an eye on your enemy, you have a lock on system and the attack's name will pop up when he does it, if that should be obvious enough.

AI controlled enemies are actually much easier than real people since AIs just spam obvious attacks while real people can think and use the strengths of their characters to the fullest, and we're also capable of being much cheaper than the AI :>

I think my big issue (and I'm sort of new to the game, but I'm intermediate right now) is more or less me not wanting to evade as much fighting the AI and being able to be more involved with attacking and strategy. I feel all the fights are are just battles in which you attack when the enemy is exposed and evade when they aren't. It bores me and I don't look forward to the higher difficulty battles because that's all they end up being.

I'm still getting used to using multiple characters though. I'm getting better with Kain, Cloud's very easy to use, and I enjoy using Terra. Golbez is also getting easier to use as well.

I'm not complaining because one scenario happens once or twice and I think it's BS that I lost. I'm complaining because the same BS happens multiple times and it doesn't feel fun to play, especially once my fingers and hands get sweaty or tired from so much button mashing to evade attacks. One reason why I hate the longevity of some attacks is that I don't want to evade, but instead attack, and the attacks that last for more than 30 seconds (Null Void, Ultimecia's arrows) make me annoyed because I'm wasting time dodging when I want to finally attack. The reason why I felt Laguna's Machine Gun was unbalanced is because I really could just go up to any enemy, corner them, then pound rounds into them for a minute to attain high bravery, then pound them with an HP attack. I guess that's all conditional though.

And I don't think the attacks are bad when used sparingly, as in they are not spammed constantly. That's another big issue for me; sometimes the AI picks an attack like Null Void and just spams it from a distance to where all you can do is dodge. It's really only and issue with the long-ranged fighters. The attacks, when used in moderation, aren't so much annoying as when they are spammed like crazy. AI need to be like the boss fights in the Scenarios. I thoroughly enjoyed fighting those battles because I did feel there was a lot of moderation and the battles always felt balanced and possible without straining my left index and right thumb from evading.

And I really just hate Shantotto. I honestly can't stand fighting it, which may be why I have such difficulty defeating it. If I don't want to do something, I don't end up doing it as well as I could. I think that makes the most sense in this situation.

For me I hate fighting sephiroth sometimes. He's always blocking and spamming his bravery attacks. He's killer in labyrinth mode sometimes. I also don't like feral chaos, especially in labyrinth mode.

Either I just had a bad couple of hours playing Dissidia or this game has gone from fun (pre-manakin-Feral Chaos) to stupid as hell (the lvl.120 pieces) in Scenario 000. I got stomped by Super Expert AI nonsense (AI's perfect blocking, evading, NOT BEING STUNNED AS LONG AS YOU ARE AFTER A WALL RUSH), so I switched to Moderate to see if I could progress that way. I was still being stomped, so I now want this game to never have a continuation under its current production staff. They did a horribly bad job at balancing the AI, the levels are horrible when they're cramped (damn Planet's Core, Ultimecia's Tower, Kefka's Tower, Pandaemonium), and on top of all of that I'm simply not having fun. It's turned from a fun game, to a challenging yet still fun game, to a "what the hell am I playing where's the fun?" game. I know there is supposed to be challenge, but Square did it totally wrong. They really screwed the pooch with Scenario 000.

Talking about Online play, I can definitely see where some of these characters become absolutely HORRIBLE to fight against though, for instance :

Gilgamesh ~
People do nothing but camp above you and spam Electrocute so they can connect with his other attacks. This kills Emperor and other mage characters, but specifically Emperor.

Ultimecia ~
I'm guilty of this, the Charged Knight's Lance Spam that blocks almost ANYTHING you throw at her, is it OP? Hell no, she's needed a better keep away than Knight's Axe since Dissidia, get used to it and get around her HPs.

Kefka ~
I never understood how he was a "hard" enemy until I fought one, I'm so used to playing as him. But he is REALLY annoying, annoying but not too hard unless they know how to play him.
Kefkas who jump to the ceiling with Precision Jump and Jump Times Boost ++ should be feared because they know he needs space to get his WWF's out then begin the horrible pressure game with SSB.
His HP's are pathetic alone, so punishable I mean really, the only one that is safe for him is Trine at a distance.

Until you fight certain enemies online you can't say that they are OP.
Just wait until you fight Feral Chaos online and get Via Dolorosa spammed
You'll be saying Overpowered for a while.

lol I can agree with these comments...haven't fought Feral Chaos yet, but I know he's most likely a royal pain in the butt anyway just from what I see of him.

I hate ExDeath fights, especially when all he does is teleport around the level and chuckle. I think Golbez is fine though. As long as you have a good dodging reaction, he's not too bad.

I hate fighting Kuja. Seraphatic Star drives me nuts. I also think Ultimecia is an utter annoyance. There is almost no balance with her considering every attack homes in on the target. If it didn't do that then I think it'd be okay to fight her.

I also hate how the developers have given characters high amounts of bravery in unexpected situations, like the Labyrinth has characters under the "Low" categorization with high defense and high bravery. It's just really weird. I've been massacred by even Squall due to that.

I don't see how Exdeath or Seraphic Star drive you nuts; for Exdeath, just move around and try to follow him and pay attention to his attack patterns; once you can figure out his movement/attacks, he's not that difficult...for Seraphic Star, all you needed to do was keep your distance and keep moving...as for Ultimecia, she's not really that hard when you're in her face, which mostly breaks her chances of using the homing/distance attacks. I can agree on the Labyrinth being a royal pain though. Having to start without any equipment (except for what you got from Labyrinth (the stuff with the hood symbol)) makes it even harder; however, I usually picked a person that I'm VERY good with (Firion, Warrior of Light, Squall, Gilgamesh, Golbez, Cloud, or Sephiroth) and I've done mostly fine; it's just when they start using high/very high/maximum that can be annoying to me.

On a different note, i've played both Dissidia and Dissidia Duodecim (I own both) so I speak from a lot of experience on fighting with opponents that can be annoying. In my book I'd say the most annoying from time to time would be Golbez b/c of his Cosmic Ray combo stemming from nearly all of his bravery attacks, but it's really not that bad in my opinion since I've played as him and against him enough to understand what to do and when to keep away/dodge. The one character I would say I have had a hard time with on more than one occasion as a whole is probably Jecht because of his constant combo changes and his new Jecht Beam attack which wasn't in the first Dissidia, which makes it annoying but not as bad as most attacks from other characters that I've been unlucky enough to get caught in...I would have to say a lot of the characters are just easier to fight to me because I have fought them so many times I have gone silly with them...lol
