It takes a lot of time to play, it isn't a game you can sit at for an hour, and go do something else. At later levels, it takes 1 hour - 4 hours to get a party. (Which you need to level up)

If you have the time, great, if you have the money, great. If you have the computer to support it, great.

Time and paitence is needed.

No, its not any good.

The best amount of exp you can get is 200 EXP!!! THATS IT!! You have to get a party to get this much. You can get more, but you have 5 min to find a monster that can kick the crap out of you and the other party members, which takes anywhere from 2 to 3 min to find one and another 3 to 4 min to kill it, if it doesn't kill your party first. If you do that, you get 25 MORE EXP ADDED TO THAT!!! BIG DEAL!!! (that would be 225 exp).

Speaking of party members, most of the people that play this game are a*s*s*h*o*l*e*s. You have to depend on some other guy to do his job and if he/she doesn't, the whole party is screwed. And if you want to advance in the game, you have to depend on someone else.

Another huge flaw is that the game FORCES YOU TO PARTY!!! Why should I or anyone have to depend on this idiot or that idiot just to get an item for your advanced job?!? You shouldn't!!! You can solo up to Lvl 10, then you have to rely on parties to go any further, unless you are a beastmaster. This is Final Fantasy, not Pokemon!!

The economy in the game is the worst ever. If you can name anyother Final Fantasy where you had to pay 2,500 GIL FOR A (1) POTION THAT GAVE YOU 25 HPS BACK, LET ME KNOW!!

This game sucks man, just wait a week for World of Warcraft to come out. Its tons better than Final Fantasy 11 (I beta tested it) and fixed all the flaws that FFXI had. This game isn't even worthy of being called Final Fantasy, its the worst one ever. FFIX was better than this. 11 gets the "WORST GAME EVER!!!" award.

It doesn't force you to do anything. If someone sends an invite to a party, you have a choice. You can either Accept or Decline. I've know players who lvled all by themselves. Its a ripoff of FFXI. ALl Blizzard did was add blue skin to the elves and more idiotic guilds aka professions, such as mechanic & herbalism. The FFXI graphics, which are more than 2 years old, are even better then WoW All the jobs are total ripoffs of FFXI. Paladin, Hunter(Ranger)& Warlock(Red mage). If given a choice between FFXI and WoW, choose FFXI.

But MMORPG takes alot of work, I woulndt enjoy an olnine game when its short, and easy to get through, I would want a chanlenge and having friends that will rely on me and I will rely on them. Its like Reality, but I know this is a game, and reality does not apply. But this is a Final Fantasy game. It crosses bounderies. Immagine trying to get like a medicine in the real world? Woulndt be expensive? In this game well duh? you know what I mean. This games amkes yuo mad sometimes when youre dying but that just takes to more strategies and simple planning. Like if you die, it will make you change how you fight against the mosnter youre fighting with. I mean I woulndt want a monster killing me with the same mistakes. In a party off course, is fun for me, but you dont gotto do it. You could be a lonly samurai or something. But in a party is much funner thats why theres PARTIES to play in. Its a community of gamers that loves playing. And Why are you guys debating wich is better, does it matter? If you dont like you dont have to play it. Well id have to say the game is preety good myself. The game does not FORCE YOU to party. The only reason most people party in order to gain exp is because its alot faster and alot of times its alot more fun because it not only gives you something to do with friends but its one of the best ways to meet new people and make new friends. You also DO NOT have to party in order to do alot of the quest, the reason why people party in order to do most of the quest is because they dont want to wait until their lvl is high enough in order to do the quest on their own, most quest require you to go to an area where the monsters are usually quite a bit higher lvl than you are and so yes ofcourse if you want to do a quest as soon as possible your going to find a party BUT you can always just wait until your strong enough on your own to do it...ive done it many times, im almost lvl 50 and i havent done alot of quest not because i need a party but just because i feel why rush it i can do alot of that stuff anytime. The economy does take a while to get used to but its based on real life economy and i think theyve done a pretty good job of doing so. If you need 50000 exp to get to the next lvl and you lose 2500 or even 5000 and your getting about 200 to 250 exp with every kill then whats the problem...yes i did do the math and it shouldnt take you very long to gain 5000exp back, maybe YOU should do the math. I find that most of the things that are being complained about are alot of the things that makes ffxi stand out from the rest, one of the things i like the best about it is that it IS very unique and different from other mmorpgs...who the fu@% wants to play the exact same type of game over and over and over finally someone has done something different is how i feel about it. And world of warcraft isnt bad its good also but then again its not much different from any other mmorpg you might grab off the shelf so dont expect to find any kind of new features or uniqueness out of it. Ive find that most of the time when people are complaining about a game like these guys are its usually because there not that good at it and they just dont want to put in the time to learn and get as good as they want to at the game so there response is "oh thats a horrible game dont get it".

This game is a MMORPG it's suppose to hold your attention for years. Why Would I want to level to 20 in one day? The limit is 75. It makes no sense. You get roghlly an average of 200 or more exp from one monster. Which is pretty good. So you have to kill more than one monster to level.

GASP OMG! <end sacarism> Really this game is suppose to let you be able to play it without doing everything in a limited time. It's never ending ,so why would you want it to end? I see no point in getting so high leveled in one day.

No you don't have to party. For ANY OF THE JOBS! It is longer and at higher levels harder ,but yes you can do it! Trust me I have done it it's possible. You can even solo as a whm in high levels. It's just harder and longer. Partying is just better than soloing because. Less downtime ,better exp, faster. Now most quests you do not need a party at all. Most quests are to be soloed so I don't understand why you are saying I HAVE TO PARTY. YOU DON'T!

Yes items are expensive in the Auction House. Everyone knows this. As the server gets older the more expensive they get. Go get the bloody money it's not that hard to get money in this game. Trust me I know. It's just a little time consuming like everything else in this game. Which is a good thing cause it is suppose to last FOREVER! If you have a problem with an item being expensive in the AH ,then go get that item yourself instead of relying on others. It will be alot cheaper.

I am just not gunna compare this with wow ,because I havn't really played wow and you shouldn't judge too diferent games. But I personally prefer FFXI because it's longer ,graphics seem to be better, more organized and easy to use, takes longer to level.

It just really depends on what kind of game you like. You like to solo and level to 20 in one day get WOW. If you like to have a unique experence among friends having various fun and unique adventures get FFXI.

The exp lost doesn't suck either it makes it more realistic ,and yes even more time consuming. Most of the time you arn't gunna die tho if you are in a good pt. Soloing there is no one there to help you out. and it isn't that much you lose. GASP OMG. 10% of what you have to get to level isn't alot.

This game sucks. All there is to do is level up and you have to have a party to get anywhere. I'd rather do stuff on my own. I don't have to rely on anyone to do their job and the only person I have to worry about knowing how to play their class is - me. WoW is so much better. Its got PVP, raids, dungeons, stuff like that. All there is to do in Final Fantasy 11 is level up. Thats it. I'm uninstalling it and canceling my account now and I still have 20 free days.
