Public Transport

Do any of you guys use public transport to go to College/School? If so, how's your journey? If not, would you ever consider public transport?

For me, I have to get 2 buses to college, the first one is fine but the second one is full of high schoolers swearing their head off and throwing water bottles everywhere. That, and I feel really awkward when people sit next to me even though there are plenty other empty seats. o-o

Do you have a bag? Just put your legs over the empty spot in the seat, put your bag on top of your legs, and pretend to go to sleep. Usually, nobody tries to sit next to you if you do that.

Also even though I'm stuck at home until next month, I ride the school bus whenever I do go to school, because I don't have time/money for driving lessons. I'm not sure if my neighborhood is terrible, or if all high school kids are scumbags and I'm an outlier, but yeah I hate that bus. Being where I am, you get an odd mix of ghetto kids with rednecks and an air of self-entitlement.

It's a miracle that I haven't actively thought about killing every one of them. :<

These random high school kids just plonk themselves next to me and scream across half of the bus about what their girlfriends have done. They're 14.

I used to take a bus to high school with fellow high schoolers. it was alright I guess though I pretty much just sat back and listened to music most of the time alongside Alyssa

Not to TAFE though. It's like a 10 minute drive away. I'll have to consider it for uni when I start going there because it's like 1 or 2 hours away.

Nah, I don't. I've been in a carpool usually in high school, where now it's usually my friend driving me and his brother to school, and my mom driving the dude's brother and some other kid home since we all live near each other. Sometimes I drive home, sometimes I drive there, sometimes my friend drives home, but yeah.

I don't think I've ever used public transport in general ever. Everyone uses cars to get everywhere.

I rarely use public transport and I actually can't remember when I have used it in the town I live in. It's so small so you just walk around so paying for public transport is pretty pointless unless you need a taxi when you're unable to drive. Though, once Alahna and I walked down to the shop which is near our school then suddenly it started raining so we were going to call the taxi do take us back to school but the cashier let us borrow an umbrella each. 8D

ER YEAH. I take the school bus to school though. I really hate it tbh, I always get the batshit crazy bus drivers. One crashed the bus and almost killed us all. o-o One of them used to always drive on the wrong side of the road and gets upset with us for talking so just stops the bus and had a cup of tea. Our current one speeds and cuts corners. It's absolutely terrifying. I SWEAR these people don't have driver license. XD

Yep, use it to go everywhere, mainly buses and train. Hopefully I'll have a car soon. On certain buses, you get to ride for free with your school ID.

I don't have much of a choice since I don't drive, but even if I did I'd still elect to catch public transport. The trains where I live aren't all bad and it's a hell of a lot cheaper. Mind they're upgrading the lines atm so I have to take the bus, which takes an extra 20 minutes each way and has no air conditioning in 35+ degree heat. Only 7 more months to go.

Weird to hear that people get talked to on the bus though. I get the opposite, people seem to bunch in with others rather than sit a couple of seats away from me. Guess I must just have one of those faces.
