Your Internet Persona

Do you act differently on the internet than you would in real-life situations? Not to say that what happens on the internet doesn't happen in real life, because what happens on the internet can certainly affect someone in real life, but you know what I'm trying to say...right?
Or just in general, do you change your personality in different environments or when around different people?

I largely act exactly the same on the web as I do in my daily life. I'm a lot more of an ass, since I'm usually more of an ass when being directly interacted with(my friends know that that's just the way I am(not that they're still on Neo to vouch for me)), since face-to-face conversation involves much more personal interaction than a forum does.

That's not to say I act completely different irl, it's just I'm afraid of, well, a sort of rejection, I guess. Probably because of my stepbrothers, if I didn't seem "cool enough" to them, they probably wouldn't have hung out with me back in the day. Of course now that doesn't matter since I don't give a damn about that anymore, haha. They still like hanging out with me though. ^^
I kinda have an Idgaf attitude around my friends irl as well. I suppose that's how I got along with everyone in high school, haha. Loosening up a bit probably helped too.

Nah, you hit the nail on the head pretty much. There are a few different things to talk about in the thread so yeah. And what you said kinda goes for me too. I can be a really fun, funny, and cool guy if you let me. Usually I'm able to do that here or with my closest friends irl. A lot of times irl I can be pretty quiet, but I do show my true self a lot.

I'm no different here than I am in real life.

My internet persona is just a more over the top version of my real life persona. So not quite.

I'm pretty much the same irl as I am online, really it depends who I'm with and how much I know them though.
