Good to see your getting into Metal, MetallicaDragon , and good to see you've already got good taste. I haven't heard much of Megadeth, but they have made the greatest song of all time, in my opinion:

i find it kinda funny how you place Metallica first on your trash list
it was Mustaine that made Metallica so thrashy
when they kicked him out, they became less thrasy
Mustaine started Megadeth, continuing that thrash style up to thier 1990 album, Rust in Peace

for example:



Rattlehead
Megadeth's equivalent of Metallica's Whiplash
(Mustaine actually is the guitarist in both songs btw)


i suggest you to listen to more of Megadeth's earlier albums

I have to agree with batsman though im certainly not dissing Kirk, Master of Puppets is awesome! Though Ride the Lighting is my fav alblum. I also prefer the four horseman to Mechanix (I like the lyrics a lot more). I only have early Megadeth on my iPod.

Mechanix is a bit more raw thrash metal, but why do i like The Four Horsemen more?
probably due to the lyrics aswell, the lyrics definetly are more awesome
but still Mustaine wrote Mechanix, i think Mustaine and Hetfield just changed the lyrics to create The Four Horsemen later on...

Batsman, I put metallica top simply because I've heard more of their stuff then Megadeth :/

Can't get enough of this song (and whole album actually, but the song in particular).

Wouldent be the same as being there live but at least the DVD is cheaper lol.

Good enough for now, but I prefer the ones that are a bit more melodic. Motley Crue are definitely on the heavier end of the genre, that's for sure.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, we all need to bang our heads to something every once in a while
