BioShock Infinite's voice acting cast has just been released and it has quite a few familiar faces, for those who like to know the people behind their favorite characters. Protagonists Booker DeWitt and Elizabeth will be played by Troy Baker, Snow from Final Fantasy XIII, and Courtnee Draper, whose work includes Ponyo and Surf's Up, respectively. Also, Jennifer Hale will play the role of Rosalind Lutece, because... Jennifer Hale.
Here's the leading roles in BioShock Infinite along with their voice actors and some work that they've done in that past. A full list of additional voice actors in the game can be found below:
- Booker DeWitt, voiced by Troy Baker - Snow from Final Fantasy XIII, Abaddon from Darksiders, Jake Muller in Resident Evil 6, Logan Thackeray in Guild Wars 2, Kai Leng in Mass Effect 3, and Joel in the upcoming release of The Last of Us
- Elizabeth, voiced by Courtnee Draper - Additional voices in Ponyo, Kingdom Hearts II, and Surf's Up
- Rosalind Lutece, voiced by Jennifer Hale - Comander Shepard in the Mass Effect series, Leah in Diablo 3, Dynaheir in Baldur's Gate, Naomi Hunter in Metal Gear Solid, Samus in Metroid Prime, and Bastila in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
- Robert Lutece, voiced by Oliver Vaquer - The Dealers in The Warriors, DJ Boy Sanchez in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and Killer Queen in Family Guy
- Zachary Comstock, voiced by Kiff VandenHeuvel - Vince in Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition, Skavak in Star Wars: The Old Republic and various characters in Sacred 2: Fallen Angel
- Daisy Fitzroy, voiced by Kimberly D. Brooks - Ashley Williams in the Mass Effect series, Lanaya in Dragon Age: Origins, Barbara Gordon in the Batman: Arkham series, Rei Kurosawa in Fatal Frame III: The Tormented, and Niobe in The Matrix: Path of Neo
- Cornelius Slate, voiced by Keith Szarabajka - Beyond his acting roles in films like Argo and The Dark Knight, Keith voices The Crowfather in Darksiders 2, Herschel Biggs in L.A. Noire, Harbinger in Mass Effect 2 and Dr. Kyne from Dead Space
- Jeremiah Fink, voiced by Bill Lobley - Bragg in The Darkness 2, Deputy Thornton in Alan Wake, Stanley Poole in BioShock 2, and the unforgettable Jodene Sparks in Sealab 2012
Certainly an interesting mix of relatively inexperienced voice actors and then some old mainstays like Jennifer Hale and Keith Szarabajka. Personally, I've been most impressed with Elizabeth's voicework so far and her VA's lack of gaming experience was rather surprising. With Ken Levine and the team at Irrational Games making the calls, we can certainly trust everything is as good as it can get.
