How do you think BioShock Infinite will fare?

Infinite will be more of a sequel than Bioshock 2 ever was. The change in setting doesn't mean a compromise of tone either; Bioshock 1's signature atmosphere was the product of lighting in a dark setting. And because Infinite's Columbia is an uplifting and bright metropolis, it contrasts the 'world of tomorrow' ideals against macabre undertones to a different effect. This will be just as successful in creating that eerie atmosphere, just as the film Blue Velvet (which Levine cites as an influence) does.

I think it'll be awesome. It looks so epic, and it gives me the same feelings I got from Bioshock, only moreso. I'm glad there's a more bright and happy backdrop, as I find it more appealing than Rapture. It looks to me like this game innovates in a way that nothing else can. I hope there's a fear element in it like in Bioshock 1.

I think Bioshock 3 will fare just fine but I don't think it will be as popular don't get me wrong about anything because I completely understand that the creators wanted to completely recreate Bioshock. I will be getting the game but from what I've seen they have killed of bug daddy's sister and little sisters,along with a list of other things. to me Bioshock 2 is my favorite game and I don't see that changing for along time the first 2 Bioshock games were just absolutely amazing games with grate graphics storyline character design and development I honestly felt connect to the characters in Bioshock 2 I was able to sympathize with them and personally rapture was more of a second home to me and bio the 3rd game they've taken away everything and I know I'm probably sounding very closed minded but that's honestly what i think about it. In rapture the environment was really amazing and I just lover it and in columbia it just changed and I just don't think that in columbia at least from what Ive seen they re-created what i felt in rapture.

I'm interested to see how it'll affect the overall feel of the game. I've been more of a viewer of Bioshock 1+2, as my girlfriend is a huge fan of the games and she tends to be the one to playthrough them, whilst I just step in for difficult parts. I think she'll be more affected by the change of scenery than me.

I'll be glad if it's able to offer us a fresh experience whilst still keeping similar tones, as not to stray too far from what has made the series so popular.
