You could both ambush and retreat using the scenery. Yeah i was a big fan of 1943's AS mode. Especially when it first came out and everyone was just learning how it worked. How cool would it be to add a thin layer of cloud cover. you could then have the jets blasting around in the blue sky above and the choppers buzzing between the peaks hidden below! you'd need to be brave to cross the ethereal barrier in either vehicle for fear of what lay beyond. Swift-winged death for the chopper, or obscured and immovable cliff-face for the jets. You'd inevitably get cross-over though - folk be foolhardy. Yeah agreed. Could have been interesting. A chopper only AS mode could have also been appealing, but probably really difficult. I suck with choppers. Do much better in jets.

	Choppers are my favorite, love flying around taking out other choppers and jets. Especially love dropping off squadmates and watch/guide them to the enemy them doubling back to pick them up again. I dont have the patience for them. lol yeah I used to hate that, until I got a squad with atleast one engineer to help out with the spamming. I'm not saying it's still not annoying but I seem to get killed instantly whenever I get into a jet. That there pisses me off, getting sniped as soon as I get in one. 	I wrote earlier about how easy the assignments are. I'm now on the final one (20 pistol headshots) for the S-Tac after a few rounds of j!had dirt-bike last night. Although I can't wait to get hold of that pistol, I do wish they'd built in a bit more persistance incentive. I don't quite understand why the premium assignments require 10x more effort than vanilla stuff, just for some poxy weapon camo. Played a couple of rounds on AS again last night and had a much better experience with a decent team who hunted as a pack. All it took was for everyone to use the spot function properly and down come your wingmen. Slaughtered the opposition. Had a feel of the airbourne sequences in Independence Day!... with fewer aliens.

	AS is fun but there is no way you're going to get through unscathed. CTF is alright except it's very slow compared with other game modes and not very involved. The new maps are nice and I am trying to get used to them. However these bleeping assignments are annoying, especially Fatal Drop! :/ ------------------- Yin ♥

	My overall impression? Mneh. Dissapointing. Better than Aftermath, nowhere near as good as Karkand or CQB. Dirtbikes are megafun. No doubt. But CTF is absolutely crippled by AT mines and C4. And a 100kg dirtbike setting off an AT mine? Come on FFS. Seen several guys on my team lay AT mines then purposfully kill themselves to play as campy snipers. I just left. I also had to quit 3 games in a row due to either my or the enemy team just spawn humping. Then again i hate CTF in any game so nothing new there. Also took off in two choppers to an immediate and constant "BEEP BEEP BEEP" of spawn humping stingers. AS is fun. Im pretty competant in jets so am doing well but its a bit of a novelty that wont last. The lack of any new jets and equipment is kind of dissapointing. If they were not gonna add anything new it would have been nice to have seen choppers and A-G aircraft like the Warthog and Frogfoot aswell for some variety. I'm gonna try normal game modes like TDM and conquest on these maps tomorow. I have a feeling i'll enjoy them more. Hate to keep going back to this but the lack of new weapons probably blew my interest before the DLC was even out. Just doesnt feel worth it without them. I also think I realised yesterday that i'm just starting to get a bit bored of BF3. Really need some new weapons and gear to keep me interested. Feel like i have sorta been there done that with everything.

	I didn't find the mines or c4 a problem. just made sure I chucked a grenade at the flag before going to pick up and that always cleared any c4 or mines. played a server last night that was a mix between ctf, conquest and as. was good to mix it up I'd imagine playing ctf only would get a bit tiresome. didn't find ctf slow at all, definitely need a good squad to win it, and totally agree the dirtbikes are mega fun.

	Fk this DLC. AT mines every two seconds, C4 suicide bikes, spawn humping, spawn humping and spawn humping and no new weapons. I backed out of about 15 games in a row yesterday due to the way people are playing this. Its a f*ing mess. And the AA jeeps are useless pieces of shit. Half the time my rockets wont even fire, my lock on sounds are not working and they have no additional armour. And i was kicked because the host wanted to use it. I am now losing connection which never happened to me before and i am having a COMPLETE loss of in game sound. Its like they designed a DLC which exagurates all the irritating ways people play this game. I'll stick with Air superiority until i get bored. Really found my feet with it yesterday. Found some good tactics which play to my strengths.

My K/d has dropped at an alarming rate though; I usually jump on a dirt-bike and book it to the enemy flag. I'm going for the 50 flag caps dog tag, it's gonna take me awhile -------------------

I stopped playing BF3 altogether over the weekend. Just got too pissed off with it. Those who l;ay down mines then switch to other classes are even worse. Why oh bleeping why do AT mines stay down after someone dies? Huge mistake by the developers. So far out of all 4 DLC's this one has failed most in achieving its hype. Its the exact opposite, its a bogged down Spawn camper Vs Spawn camper shitfest. Its a complete mess. And yeah Dizzywallin Sabalan is the worst for it for me as well.
