M1911 Veterans

Good news sports fans.

Members of ea's gunclub, and battlefield veterans (oldies who've registered their accounts for any of the bf games - including bad company) will receive access to the M1911 pistol. Veterans will also receive additional benefits to be announced later.

Will put one up tomorrow. But its confirmed through the usual sources.

I'm guessing the MEU(SOC) variant, but in bc2 the veteran weapon was the m1 garand, and the tommy gun was unlockable in game, so it may be the wood finish rather than the black polymer.

No, veterans is seperate. However, the children on the EAUK forums ranted about exclusives for getting games before there was an incentive (despite the fact you can pick up BFBC2 now for about a £10 at most, as well as I'd heavily suggest getting BF2 for Project Reality), and hence provided you log into Gun Club, you can get free things.

I'm guessing it's going to be a Sub-par weapon, probably an M9 Copy but with 7 rounds.

To be honest, I quite like gun club, even though it's one of those things that rewards you for just playing the game.

Also, Veterans do get extra bonus' (bonuses? Boni?), although what they are are unconfirmed. Possibly non-mechanical based, similar to how the SpecAct/Dog Tags DLC is money for new skins. Veterans may be a reskinned weapon, similar to the Veteran Weapons from Medal of Honor (although they were new models as well, can't say DICE will go that far).

hardly used it on BC2, preferred the MP-443 tbh

The M1911 was one of my favorite weapons on battlefield2, strong and accurate close and long range. I love it!!!
