Always, always have a full stock of Gels and Life Bottles. Always. I can't stress that enough haha! Apple Gels, Peach Gels, Grape Gels, you name it, stock up on them whenever and wherever possible. Tales 101 #1 right there. Haha.

Also pay particular attention to Team Members and what jobs they'll do. For example I use Sophie as my main healer. Asbel as much Do it all character, Hubert as the Juggernaut, and Pascal as the mage. Cheria acts as a decent healer too, so if you need more than one you can always replace Pascal with Cheria.

When you pick Trial of Grces you are given a list of different battles you can do. If you succeed, you will be awarded items for your save file on the main game. The enemies you fight as well that level are listed, so you know what you're up against and how strong the enemy will be.
