The character is Karin. The anime itself is Kamichama Karin. It's very loli-ish. I love it. Not sure if I would recommend it to anyone but loli + magical girl = me happy.

Well using that as a springboard, anyone here anime fans? If so, what kind of anime do you watch?

Death Note was great at the beginning but later, I don't know, it just turned boring. I never finished watching it.
I'm actually starting to watch Kamichama Karin right now and I'm loving it. It's over-cheesy at times, but it's bizarre too. Specially if you read the OP lyrics. God darn those are some bizarre lyrics... It's like the Anime is all obscure and dark but later it turns into something bright and colorful? I guess I will know when I finish it.

Last season sucked for me. The only thing that I really liked was Aquarion EVOL. Ano Natsu was good, but it lacked punch, and Nisemonogatari didn't have the same charm as Bakemonogatari. Although, you should definitely watch it for the toothbrush scene.

While I'm enjoying pretty much everything this season, I can't honestly recommend anything unless you've specifically got a taste for it. Sakamichi, I really liked but it can get a little overly dramatic, so unless you're a drama buff then you may not like it. Accel World is a fun shounen but it got cliche ridden pretty quickly. Etc etc.

What kind are you looking for in particular?

Yea, I feel the same way. It started out interesting, but then it slowly got more and more convuluted to the point where it became a chore to watch. By episode 20 or so, I had to drop it for a few months before picking it back up.

But that's because I didn't get swept up in the atmosphere. The Pursuit if you can do that you'll probably love Death Note.
