I'm glad that it offers that kind of thing. I guess that means there's no shame in trying a higher difficulty and losing.

I hate losing to a boss a million times but I also hate beating them all on te first try without any trouble. So I like a challenge but not to the point that I get angry about it.

Yeah,losing too many times is annoying. Two or three tries against a boss is no big deal,but pretty much anything over 5 tries in a row with no success pisses me off....And I've actually had many bosses give me that in the game.

I much prefer bosses that I can beat on the first try,but make me work for it instead of just "Ok,attack me until I die,I won't KO any of your team".

Haha yeah I agree.

2 or 3 times is fine because if it is my fault that I lost, and not my parties strength, I love sitting back and finding new strategies. Honing on the basses style of attacks and movements until I finally get it all down. Makes for an interesting time I must say.

Same here. I'm at 375, and some of my good books are taking about 70 per battle. :L I'm using one right now for a ton of exp., but it halves my stats. ;=; Kind of useless when I'm grinding against strong monsters...but they give me 30K exp. per battle.

Edit: Try putting food into it. Yes.
Edit2: Went up to about 600 in 1.5 hours, give or take a bit. Not too hard though.

Yeah I keep food and a few gels and like that thing that gives you 300 SP and stuff in there. I have 6 slots, does it go higher than that?

I keep pudding in there or whatever because it heals me every time the battle lasts more than 20 seconds. Does anyone know if the Eleth meter increases based on the # of times it does stuff / uses food, or the number of SP that you use on it? If it's the latter, it'd be best to set a buncha food and stuff, but then that would cost a lot of money to keep recharging.

I'm most of the way through the future arc,and my eleth mixer's up to a capacity of about 2015 with 10 slots. I always keep two dishes set (with the book of satiation so both can be cooked in one battle),and at least one item with a high chance of production (I set apple gels and use the Book of fortune,which double production chances).

Lately I've also set the book of growth and the book of expansion which make the capacity grow and increases the slots over time. I'm not sure if it helps growth at all,but I've also used the book of swiftness from about the same time I got Hubert as a full party member. It eats up alot of eleth if you keep it set at all times...

Game Over certainly do use a lot of time but they're so damn fun. As far as I'm concern, if you aren't getting game overs and being forced to learn the various tricks and mechanics of the game, then it ain't worth it. Its not a waste of time if you're having fun, after all, the entire point of playing is to have fun.

My verdict: play the hardest mode possible until you feel you've exhausted all your options and still can't win.

Ugh. I tried Hard mode, and I can handle regular enemies for the most part, but bosses are impossible for me.

on hard mode. I was able to beat #1 on Intermediate, but I had to lower it all the way to Normal for #2. Don't remember what I did for #3 but it wasn't Hard mode.

Some of you are playing on Chaos and it makes me feel weak. But I have no idea what level I need to be, and I tend to avoid weak enemy battles sometimes. I haven't really done any plain grinding, and it's been a long time since I've been able to upgrade equipment. I'm still running mostly Steel with some Rune. Not sure what to do. New equipment is taking a long time to come by. But I hate to Dualize my Steel equipment anymore because I know that there's gotta be new equipment soon.
