So, Favorite Party & Playing Style? *Possible Char. Spoilers*

A good way to use your CC is to calculate how many points you need to do an attack and which direction you need to go. Then find the weakness of your enemy and chain the attacks accordingly. Like Asbels Wing Smash (I think it's called) is strong against aerial monsters. Lets say the monster is weak to ice as well. So you could Hit a normal hit then use wing smash then hit it with a freezing blast Art. Using your CC to your advantage to get the most gamage possible is the point. Some things like dodging enemy attacks can fill your CC up completely. So do your combo then swiftly dodge behind him to continue your combo for an even more extreme amount of damage.


A arts are just attacked based arts and are really good for building up combos. B arts are stronger arts with more special effects like frozen damage or nova and stuff like that. You can also combo those together to create awesome combos if you will. I love using Ruchard Sophie Asbel and Cheria. But I can't wait to use Hubert. Sophie is an amazing character in battle and out so I find it hard to not use her.

She is so quick and if you use her yourself you will see that she is the best at chaining Up-close combos and can WRECK shit with tons of CP. Cheria is the main healer. Sophie has first-aid and heal but nothing as good as Pixie Circle with Cheria. Sophie can dodge so easily and can strafe all around the enemy. Most of her B-Arts I have noticed up her abilities instead of doing damage. One even removes all status ailments off of her and then makes her immune to them in that battle. So she is incredibly useful to me since I am more of an up
close damage dealer.

That being said, what's your favorite party of 4, or who do you intend to make your final party? What kind of play style do you use? Charge the enemy, play it safe? Mages? All Physical?

I tend to rotate between everyone, but my favorite team is Asbel, Hubert, Cheria, and Pascal, mainly playing as Pascal/Asbel. Combos are ridiculously easy to set up with this team. On many of the bosses, I actually put everyone on Manual a few moments into battle. Start a combo with Asbel, switch to Pascal quickly and start casting a spell. Then switch to Hubert for another combo, then switch to Cheria to either cast an attack spell or a heal spell and repeat until I drop the combo or push them into Eleth Burst.

Also, share tips on making the most out of your CC. I'm still not too sure what I'm doing yet. I mostly just mash X and hold random directions on the L Stick to get different Artes.

All of your artes have a certain number of attributes. Each of these attributes correspond to a weak point on enemies, so you want to scan the enemy and try to hit all of the weak point in one combo.

This one is a little tougher to explain. Yes you can go between the two, however you cannot mix and match. When you change styles you have to do a set action in order to switch. For Asbel this means pulling and sheathing his sword. He HAS to do this before he can do one or the other, so you can't do something like X -> O -> X -> O and expect something cool. He'd just pull out and sheathe his sword.

So if you decide to mix up A and B artes, then it'd be advisable to stick to whatever you changed to once you change so that you don't waste CC by switching constantly.

In summary, if you pull out your sword in the middle of a combo, keep using the O button and vice versa if you sheathe your sword. As long as you only switch between each style once or twice in a combo it should be fine.

I haven't personally used Sophie that much outside of earlygame, but I have noticed that earlygame, Sophie is a better healer than Cheria.

Cheria has a lot of AoE healing, while Sophie has great single healing. Unfortunately for Cheria, she doesn't have any decent sized heal spells until midgame, so she tends to only heal one person for a small amount. Sophie, on the other hand, can heal a lot to one person early on.

Ah, I see. I might have to try her out first hand. But I generally never use anyone except the main character myself. I like to leave the others up to the AI. Being able to move fast is always nice though. I like when characters have high agility. Being slow during chains really sucks.

Pascal has really close range magic. Almost all of her spell casts in an area around her, not near an enemy. She's like a combat mage if anything. She's also the Danage Dealer of the party. Unfortunately, she's also weak so she can die on you alot if you don't protect her. Honestly, I'd use Malik over her if she wasn't so fun to play for me. I love the risk and reward of using her.

Malik is so great in crowd control that I almost picked him instead of Hubert. If only Hubert didn't have such flashy combos

I agree. I always get this childish feeling whenever he pulls out shit tons of Bladearangs and he starts wrecking enemies. I really just can't help watching Hubert doing acrobatic sword fighting.

IIRC Malik has the second highest DEF next to Asbel, might be wrong though. It might be because he doesn't have many good close range attacks and gets overwhelmed when enemies mob him.

So apparently I was wrong, at least in my file. Malik's C DEF is above average but his P DEF is quite a bit below average. However, it might be a little different for you since you'll probably field him more, netting him more titles.

My party mainly consists of Asbel, Hubert, Cheria, and Malik. During boss battles I do occasionally switch Sophie with Malik. Not often though, only when I need the extra healing. I've got Cheria so that she's a great healer now a days. Revitalize, Resurrection, Fairy Circle, and everything else. I also love how her Resurrection can bring back more than 1 person at a time! Loved that.

Malik's magic is pretty awesome though. I heavily depend on it in normal battles.

Hubert is a decent fighter and can cast Healing Wind which is why he's in my party. He does die a lot for whatever reason though. In the f arc I'll probably switch him with Richard.
