Stuck In Quest Battle With Tirnoch

ok, I have completed 191 quests. Missed 2. I am currently in the Defeat Tirnoch quest. I fought him, I am embarrassed to say how long, LOL, still there. Got his life all the way down, no red and then he gets a touch of life and I have run out of weapons that work best, run out of repairs, my armor is falling off...LOL, and this dragon will not die...anybody beat Tirnoch yet. I hate to restart this fight. Any tips. Is there something I need to do to kill this thing. I am fighting as a battle mage but I love the chakrams.

I did the same thing that Artirtico did. Kept dodging attacks for a long while, hacking and slashing at Tirnoch to no avail, and so forth. Until you do what is said in the spoiler box above, you can be damaging this thing for hours and not get anywhere. I do love the concept of the whole battle. It's... well, different.

The Splinters of Fate were enough hints to make me do what I had to do, after taking forever to take the hint of course.

You went through the whole game without manually going into Reckoning Mode? Impressive, even though you didn't know how until now.

If you're playing on PS3, hold down the L1 and R1 buttons at the same time to initiate Reckoning Mode. The purple bar displayed on the top left of your screen has to be full in order to do this.

I did some digging. According to this, press the X key to enter Reckoning Mode and press the F key to use the finisher. Also, press the spacebar and the mouse buttons to receive a nice experience bonus. Seems convienent enough.

So, X key to enter Reckoning Mode. F key to use the finisher. Tapping spacebar + mouse buttons lets you get additional experience points from the finisher.

That is pretty impressive getting through the game without using Reckoning Mode at all (besides the compulsory tutorial) It's something I tried not to use (since I didn't need the exp boost) but there were a few occasions near the start of the game where I had some trouble so ended up using it to help me out

Hmm, the 'Uprising' Quest (killing Brenner) should be fairly straight forward, though I have heard that there is a potential bug at one point so perhaps you may have run into that... basically at night, Brenner heads down memory walk where there are no guards or other people in sight. You can therefore safely stealth kill her there, loot and then salvage/destroy the daggers and you're done. Did you by any chance steal the daggers from her before killing her?

I'm not entirely sure where you're at with the second one - is this the Quest called 'Collections'? You take the purse to the collection box, catch the thief when he tries to steal it and then choose whether to let him go or turn him in... that doesn't sound like what you're describing however?

LOL, seems I am inventing as I go. Its a girl thing. ok, I didn't come in through the cave at midnight so that could be the clue and I did get the daggers first so maybe I blew that quest. Seems it does not give me the option to kill Brenner now and she in turn ask me to kill the person that sent me after her. The first time I went straight on through to Tirnoch so since I cleaned all areas, I picked up a few more quest just before I get to him.
