	Wiki Pages General Log in to remove this sponsored message Another vote for Teeth of Naros from me - I enjoyed both quite a lot but ToN is just a bit more 'epic' in feel whilst Dead Kel felt more like a regular continuation of the game. Enemies in ToN are a little more diverse too so are more likely to provide slightly more of a challenge, though nah, neither are that difficult. the_FAMAS_pro I'm not really much of a Maroon 5 fan... some of their stuff is ok I guess. Apparently it was pretty close over here in the UK between them and Linkin Park in regards to getting no.1 in the album chart with their latest albums... Linkin Park won & apologies for the walls of text; once Dynasty Warriors and it's related topics show up as a subject, I can pretty much go on forever Skip over anything once the Chinese names start popping up quote SpartanNinja So it will be very similar but much more in depth and complicated like ROTK almost like a combination of the two. Sounds good to me - there was always a bit too much going on in ROTK for me, but pushing Empires slightly more towards that sort of thing (whilst still retaining the DW battles) would separate it nicely from regular Dynasty Warriors and really bring in the strategic & economical sides. So yes, sounds very promising then Hehe, now Jia Xu being one of the few to defeat and nearly responsible for killing off Cao Cao just makes me respect him even more Full respects to Dian Wei of course for his 'almost-immortal-juggernaut' actions, but it does seem to me that pretty much everything Jia Xu suggested succeeded/was correct in a general sense at least; very much one of the top strategists of the era Nah, I do think that Yu Jin would (and should) make a good playable character; I just don't like the guy We'll need Yue Jin as well to round out the 'Wei 5' but yah, he does have some fairly unique quirks so I think the base for making a character of him is there... I would be rather looking forward to shaming him at Fan Castle though Yup King Wu Tugu indeed - in terms of who 'should' be playable, he wouldn't really be up there but I think he'd be awesome nonetheless. He was the leader of the 'Rattan armour' troops and is made out to be a huge man, barbaric, shamanic, diet of venomous snakes etc haha. Ah, Shamoke was likewise another King from the Nanman area, so in fact his character could take on some of those above characteristics. & yes (in the novel at least) Shamoke fatally shoots Gan Ning, though is later cut down by Zhou Tai in all the panic of Lu Xun's fire attack. Ah, Zhu Ran is another potential playable character too of course... quote SpartanNinja Also that stock exchange thing fell through Aww, that's a pity BUT things are certainly looking up with the Rail Yard! Umm, it's pretty close to 3 Dollars being 2 British Pounds at current I think... which means you'd be earning more than me even if I was working full time so that sounds pretty great! Good to know there're multiple opportunities for jobs available too; that's a great position to be in with second (and third) choices to fall back on if necessary. Tehe, ah I reckon I can get Pang De on side - he and Yu Jin didn't ever seem to see eye to eye and ultimately Yu Jin's failure accentuated Pang De's unwavering loyalty and resolve... so I could be Wei and still have it happen, and Wu haven't arrived by then anyway Haha, I'm always a bit torn in who to support at Fan Castle since as a whole, I'm a Shu fan so am glad to see them initially making progress against Wei but at the same time, Guan Yu getting so hostile towards Wu was such a bad move that I'm almost kinda glad that Wu then took the initiative and did what they did (especially since it's dear Lu Meng ). That one act by Guan Yu sorta triggered such huge implications going on to Yi Ling etc... from that point on in the novel, so many of the great generals end up getting axed; bit depressing really Zhu Ran is another guy who I personally never really took a liking too for some reason... I guess sometimes I just get an image in my head of a character of how I can see them being portrayed, just developing up from there and others (e.g. Zhu Ran) I just don't He starting the Yi Ling fire attack seems a bit overhyped in my opinion too since it's all down to Lu Xun; anyone could have set a fire... but at the same time yes, he was a commander within the fighting forces of Wu, sorta post-Cheng Pu, pre-Ding Feng, so on merits of his position alone, he's gotta be deserving of being playable... it may be that I warm to him more so if they create a cool character for him I guess quote SpartanNinja its certainly the most intereting conversation I have had on this site in awhile. -------------------

Some of those generals were pushing those numbers and some even got up to being 60 or 70 by the time they finally went. I think its a good thing it happened honestly. Besides there is ungodly amount of 'generals' in that era. Back in the day and following, the general count would be much lower but the officers underneath would be numerous which Koei may or may not understand depending on the game. Besides I never had much of a heart for the over-idealistic Shu, The prettyboy army of Wu and the army of chessmasters in Jin. I much prefer Wei's Magnificent Bastards. I mean come on, Dian Wei is called the 'coming evil', Xiahou Dun stood toe to toe with not one, but two 'God of Wars' and killed one and almost killed the other. He also lost his eye and ATE it in anger. Cao Pi married the Helen of Troy of her time. Zhang He is the most flamboyant and eccentric (not gay) guy in the the game. As stated Jia Xu is the least known but possibly the best strategist of his time. Rivaling and perhaps surpassing Jai Xu is Sima Yi who eventually made Wei his own kingdom. Yue Jin, Zhang Liao, and Yue Jin were the Spartans of there time holding off and defeating 10,000 soldiers with 800. Hell even less know generals like Zhao Ang beat back Ma Chao's greater force even though his son was held hostage and killed because of his actions... he also married Wang Yi. Pang De is also a fairly good general in the later campaigns. 	Once again not bad in regards to the BVB track the_FAMAS_pro - aside from the little screamy bit, it's the type of thing that I can happily listen too but at the same time isn't something that I find myself really getting into; the music is pretty good but the main singer's voice doesn't do much for me I'm currently waiting on hearing a proper full version of OneRepublic's new track; they've got a new album coming out soon and I can't wait! quote SpartanNinja Its very hard to convince you of anyone isn't it. Yes, yes it is Haha, I guess I've just had my opinions of these people engraved into my head for so long that it takes quite a bit to influence them Very fair point regarding many of the generals being of quite an age by the time the likes of Fan Castle/Yi Ling came around - it may well be a case where some if not nearly all would've hit the dirt sometime around then anyway; it just seems to be about the biggest horde of 'big character' deaths around the same time in the novel... Pang De, Guan Yu, Guan Ping, Lu Meng, Yu Jin, Zhang Fei, Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun, Huang Zhong, Gan Ning, Zhu Ran, Liu Bei, WHAM WHAM WHAM As a whole, I tend to support the underdog so that in itself is my main reason to not follow Wei really... it's tricky though overall since whilst I appreciate the 'Shu way' and the likes of Zhao Yun are awesome throughout, I always find myself liking Liu Bei & Guan Yu less and less as the novel progresses so my loyalty to kingdoms tends to shift depending on what's going on; I guess I just like to see the characters I like doing well Wu could definitely do with some more 'manly men' (Cheng Pu) and pretty much all of the current Jin playables are at least 'part-strategist' so putting in a pure warrior or two (Wen Yang) would be nice I could definitely provide an epic people/moments list for Shu/Wu if need be to rival your Wei one Now Zhen Ji is someone I would happily cut and Cao Pi is another I don't like much though I suppose he does have reason to be there Some of Wei's characters are great though yah; I'm sure the real Zhang He would be turning in his grave at what they've done to him but he is indeed pretty epic, Xu Huang and I really like what they did with Xiahou Yuan in DW7 too In-game Xiahou Dun has been developed up into a great character but at the same time, I find him so overhyped and overused in comparison to what he actually did... his big moment is getting shot; rather intense a shooting granted but still... who is this 'God of War' he apparently killed then? quote SpartanNinja Yue Jin, Zhang Liao, and Yue Jin were the Spartans of there time holding off and defeating 10,000 soldiers with 800. LI DIAN LI DIAN LI DIAN Haha, He Fei is definitely a battle where I was supporting Wei for a change. In fact another of my favourite Li Dian (and Xiahou Dun) moments is at Bo Wang Slopes; first time Wei comes across Zhuge Liang - Li Dian repeatedly advises Xiahou Dun that he'll likely get ambushed, Dun stubbornly refuses to listen and blunders right into Zhuge Liang's fire attack, most of his forces getting slaughtered - props to Li Dian (and Liang), tough cookie for Dun Anyone planning on watching any of the olympics? -------------------

At the moment I'm getting all the Lorestones, then remains the trophies for getting caught stealing 25 times and a few others. Shouldn't be too tricky; a nice one to have as your first That 'get caught stealing trophy' was hilarious; completely pointless as you say but quite fun - it was one of the last ones I got too; that one and the 'killing an enemy 4 levels higher than you' were the only ones I didn't get before finishing the story if I remember rightly. Regarding 100%, a couple of the trophies from Dead Kel can be a bit tricky if you haven't got those yet... quote SpartanNinja Lu Bu, had him captured first and then executed. Ah yeah, this is sorta what I mean in Xiahou Dun being overhyped/overused in the games... he leads the advance force against Lu Bu at Xia Pi, gets shot and retreats. In the novel he gets his 'eats eye and goes spaz' moment, killing Cao Xing (the one who shot him) but he and his forces still get utterly defeated by Gao Shun, wherein he retreats to Xu Chang to heal up, so it's unlikely he was there when Lu Bu was captured I'm not sure that he actually fought Guan Yu on the field either, being called off when Guan Yu left Cao Cao and he didn't take part at Fan Castle at all (so it really ticked me off that he was given that as 'his battle' in DW7 ). I think they've made a great job of his character in the games, but quite a bit of the 'epicness' is undeserved in my opinion Zhou Cang seemed pretty cool yah; it's not like Guan Yu really needed a bodyguard, but he certainly took on that role whole-heartedly nonetheless; a pity he couldn't have made it back to Shu along with Liao Hua but I guess it was a 'noble death' sorta thing Pan Zhang was another solid general to have 'departed' around then too. quote SpartanNinja Not until I figure out wtf those are... The Romance of the Three Kingdoms was written by Luo Guanzhong nearly a 1000 years after the fact by a Historian and obviously good writer. But the way I look at it its more or less the same as J.R.R. Tolkien writing The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun. Its open for interpretation. However I will concede is way overhyped but no more than most of them lol . Besides if I remember correctly his actual military prowess was hit or miss as a leader, but as an individual fighter he was supposed to be exceptional. But on the leader note he apparently found his calling as a governor and apparently was quite loved by his people because of it. Flooding a field (or something my memory is not perfect) and allowing people to plant rice patties or some such but meh. quote Artirtico Liao Hua this guy is perhaps the single most badass guy in the Three Kingdoms Era starting as a yellow turban and one of the very few generals of any kingdom to make it from the yellow turbans to the kingdom of Jin. Hell there is even a proverb about the guy stating "Shu has no more famous commanders, Liao Hua takes the lead of the vanguard" which is used to signify that though he is not well known and has no choice but to lead, he does his job rather spectacularly. Very true that just about every character in the games is used far more/made out to be much more than they should be too; some more than others of course, but yes they're all guilty of that I imagine & it is quite interesting regarding how Xiahou Dun seemed to be quite a reckless hot-head when it came to military command but very sensible and giving when it came to economical governship; quite an odd combination and to go with his good combat skills too Liao Hua's definitely another with potential for playability even if for his longevity alone - he could sorta act as a storyteller being around from start to (almost) end as DW would without doubt go with him having lived that long. What would be very interesting is how they chose to depict him since he'd be a young boy in the Yellow Turban Rebellion and a 90+ year old at the fall of Shu quote SpartanNinja Men's diving, no surprise there Didn't disappoint either hehe... pity it didn't go on a bit longer... there's more on tomorrow though The Men's Gymnastics turned out to be a great watch, all in the sense of the competition itself being very exciting, the nature of it being awe-inspiring and of course it being very aesthetically pleasing haha Ah yeah of course the time zone differences would make the olympics much more awkward to see in general Kinda cool here knowing that whenever in the day you turn on the TV, there will be some Olympic event on & 'life is there to be experienced' is a much better way of putting it actually yes - as well as the emotional feelings, some of the best/most rewarding moments in life are often the toughest. 'Enjoyment' wouldn't really work in describing those Even if after some hardship, it's good to know you're 'in line' with that too -------------------
