As Kokoro said, Cole MacGraph, along with cat mascots Kuro and Toro, is an exclusive character in the PS3 and Playstation Vita's versions of Street Fighter X Tekken. The cats are almost clones because Toro mimics Ryu's way of fighting while Kuro mimics Kazuya.

If you are going to predict guests, perhaps look to Microsoft to push forward a character to match Cole and the Sony cats. Sort of a Soulcalibur III scenario with equal opportunity for console guests (Heihachi for PS2, Link for Gamecube, and Spawn for Xbox).

Or it could be like Mortal Kombat (2011) with Kratos being PS3 exclusive. The guests could stop on Sony.

What you describe MH 2011 would be a black hole of licensing fees. All those big names in one place may be too expensive. It might be cheaper to comission manga artists to design costumes (see Tekken 6) or design custom characters (see Soulcalibur IV).

Also, you may be interested, Namco x Capcom came out six years ago.

there already was. its basically what Project X Zone is a sequel of, only now Sega's in the mix too. its like an RPG mixed with a fighter, really strange.
