Wow a Prince of Persa movie, didn't see that one coming! It could work well, story plot on the game is great. Only thing I see a lack of is the number of characters that were in the game? I only remember there being a few, so I assume they will have to change lots to make it movie compatible right?

Yeah I had to post here. In a magazine I read (Death Ray), Michael Bay said the following when asked which film he would do next: "Well I've literally just finished (Transformers) so I'm a little tired! Maybe Prince of Persia. I have the script and Jerry [Bruckheimer] keeps bugging me" After what he did with Transformers, if he directed this I'd be very happy! But I'll be happy either way! Prince of Persia movie!

I love the Prince of Persia series, and I loved Transformers, but all of his other work was utter shit. I'd feel safer if it was in the hands of a really good director.

How would this work? Like the Lara Croft movies? Indiana Jones style? I did enjoy Transformers, so who knows, this could be good in Bay's hands...could be wrong, though xD

I wouldn't say all of his other movies. I still dig The Rock...

His works don't bother me, and with a big named director comes a big budget for the film as well. So at least you know that there won't be any skimp on the graphical aspect or quality of the film. The only thing that worries me is the right actors and script. If anything, they should get storyboard writers of the games to sit in on the script revisions.

Hmm, The Sands of Time is a great little game, but I'm not convinced there's enough narrative within it to sustain a feature length film unless the studio make a lot of changes to it. The game has the basic premise of the Prince unleashing the Sands, but then there's practically no plot until the very end. This is fine for the game, but I think may be found wanting in movie format. The verbal sparring between the Prince and Farah provide neat characterisation and an interesting sub-plot, but don't really propel the main quest. I have a feeling these issues will mean the movie will be quite different to the game.
Presumably there's an intention to make all three games eventually. I think Warrior Within and The Two Thrones would be far more interesting, narratively.

I believe that Sands of Time will just be a setup movie, leading to more indepth sequels such as Warrior With and Two Thrones. In fact, that's all I will pretty much expect from it, but I just hope they don't botch it when it comes to the sequels.

This is going to be a great hit. If there's a game that deserves to be in the Wide Screen, is Prince Of Persia.

OK, this shit better be good, or else I'll get very angry. After Mortal Kombat, I was like "Yay!" After the sequel I was like "Yay...wait, this movie actually sucked!" and now I'm like "Hey!"
