	Kasdan Penning Clash of the Titans New Writer Brought On Board Upcoming Remake. quote April 16, 2007 - Lawrence Kasdan has been hired to write Clash of the Titans for Warner Bros. Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter. Basil Iwanyk is producing via Thunder Road. A remake of the 1981 cult classic, the story revolves around Zeus' son, Perseus, and his journey to save Princess Andromeda during which he must complete various tasks set out by Zeus, including capturing Pegasus and slaying Medusa. The original marked the final film on which Ray Harryhausen did special effects. Travis Beacham (Killing on Carnival Row) wrote a draft. Kasdan wrote the screenplays for Return of the Jedi, The Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark. He executive produced In the Land of Women, written and directed by son Jon Kasdan and hitting theaters on Friday. Another childhood favorite of mine. What approach do they take, the lighter side of a PG friendly rating? Or take a chance and go the darker side, pushing the ends of PG-13 or possibly R with violence and sexuality? With the success of 300, I'm really pushing towards the darker tone and hope WB are willing to take yet another chance. My only other hope for a violent take on Greek Mythology would be that of God Of War, but who knows where that project is currently at and how badly edited/watered-down it'll turn up.

	If they gay this movie up I'll be pissed. I don't care if they go for the gore, just as long as it's a good movie. -------------------

	Darker would be great, I'd love to see a more scary Caliban, and Kraken for that matter. Loved this movie as a kid, are we about to see a rash of Greek Myth movies after the success of 300? Jason and the Argonauts Next? -------------------

	Even just a remake in general has me excited, if they did it right, they could make it work with any rating at all really. I'm more hoping for a PG-13 or R than a PG, but hey, Narnia ruled. Just as long as they don't bleep the bleep out of it, it'll be good. But yeah, a rated R version would be pretty amazing. -------------------

	Clash Of The Terminator Studio May Have Found Their Perseus. quote November 05, 2008 - According to Variety, Warner Bros. Studio is in talks with Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation, Avatar) to play the role of Perseus in the upcoming remake to Clash of the Titans. Louis Leterrier, who directed this Summer's blockbuster hit The Incredible Hulk is attached to helm the remake for WB. Clash of the Titans is expected to begin production by late winter or early spring and will use the greenscreen techniques that made 300 so visually arresting.

	In a press release for WB upcoming projects, this was among the list for a March 26, 2010 release. Sam Worthington is still set to star as Perseus as Louis Leterrier will direct.

	Holy bleep yes. Great casting so far. Liam Neeson as Zeus is going to be incredible. This movie's really shaping up good so far. Granted, it is still early, but it's definitely headed in the right direction. -------------------

I was a bit skeptical when I heard they were doing a remake as I this is a childhood fave of mine but Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes? Is that great casting or what?! -------------------
