I compared Affleck's position on this to Nolan taking over Batman [insert The Living Angelus "nolanfanboy" rant]. At the time that Nolan took over, he had only directed 3 films - all of them being good movies (though, some will argue with Insomnia, and I'd kind of agree). Look what he did with Batman, especially without having all the experience Affleck has gathered while on the set of many other directors' films. Affleck definitely has some talent, and I'm sort of excited by this.

And Ben is a comic book fan. And if you combine what Lavitz said, it's not like Ben is the worst choice in the world to do this film. So don't be pessimistic but don't be optimistic either.

With Affleck Out, Wachowski Siblings In?
Moviehole is reporting that Warner Bros now are looking at Lana and Andy Wachowski to direct the film. The two have directed films for WB with The Matrix Trilogy, Speed Racer and the upcoming Cloud Atlas which has been getting a ton of positive buzz about it. They also wrote and produced V For Vendetta and were at one point on the list to direct Man of Steel before it was passed along to Zack Snyder. (Moviehole)

I still feel they should do solo films first, then the big collaboration. But perhaps seeing these characters on screen, audiences might be more willing to see a solo Flash movie, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, another Green Lantern attempt, etc...

The green lantern wasn't that bad guy, I mean, it wasn't the greatest I just don't think it needs to be rebooted in order for the character to appear in the justice league of America movie.. Daredevil, now there is a bad movie..

Elektra, now theres a bad comic movie. Daredevil wasnt too bad.

To this day I've yet to watch all of Catwoman. Elektra was god awfully boring. So agree, in the current era of superhero films, those two stand out as the worst of the bunch.

Green Lantern wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It should have been much better than what they gave us. And Hal's choices on what he conjured with the ring were idiotic. Seriously, the racetrack to stop a crashing helicopter?

Daredevil is underrated. That film had the unfortunate luck of having to follow Spider-Man's film and they tried fitting it into that same mold. Not as good as it could have been but still an enjoyable movie. The Director's Cut for it is godtier though.

I do indeed. Super cheesy, like insanely eye-rolling cheesy movie, but a ton of eyecandy with those races that are fun to watch. They had Car-fu in the movie man. lol. It's a huge guilty pleasure of mine.

Hulk suffered from a terrible script but at least he didn't look emo. Stylistically it was really cool as well, the kind of film I'd group with Green Lantern.

Daredevil DC is much better than them all though imo.

the only thing the first Hulk did right was the picture-in-picture things they did to make it look like a comic book. that was unique and kept it interesting. its never been done since and i can certainly live without it, but was cool nonetheless.

The first Hulk movie was more like the comic hulk, I don't know, but it seemed to me that the second hulk movie nerfed the Hulk a bit much..The first Hulk threw tanks miles away, the other hulk struggled with a fork lift.
