The original was good. Remake was alright, if you didn't compare it to the original. You can tell Hollywood is running out of ideas, considering it has to steal from Asian cinema now (ie Lake House, Pulse, Grudge 2, The Departed).

First thing's first... Kristen Bell is *bleep*ing cute in any movie she plays in, and this is no exception. Second thing, this movie sucked. Bad. Thirdly, in the movie "Do you want to see a ghost?" appears prior to the characters witnessing numerous suicides on their computers. I bought this movie on a blind purchase. Fourth, "Do you want to see a ghost?" ** Commits checkbook suicide. **

Very cool premise and with a better script it could have worked, but it didn't, so we get what it is. At times it feels like an over budgeted-made for tv flick, and that's evident when certain scenes look completely laughable (eg. shot of the city with burning buildings only the CGI fire looks like it was quickly photo-shopped on top of the building itself by a first year effects artist; ala rushed Made for Tv special effects).

Unrated version wasn't unrated. I'm getting sick of all these DVD's being released as "unrated" and then only a minute or so of footage is put into the film, which in itself doesn't change anything about the movie in the first place.

This film looks like a version of Stephen King's Cell

Except that it isn't just cellphones infecting you.

More Hollywood bullshit/Japanese rip-off ftl. I think I'll avoid this since Hollywood have failed in The Ring and The Grudge.
