*spoilers btw, if you haven't seen it I guess don't bother reading*

Well, I came out of the Cinema loving it, but without reason really. Great effects, Silver Surfer was incredibly awesome, nice comeback and a finish that I liked. But that's about it really. It should have been the FOUR to take down Doom, or at least give him a run for his money. The fact that Johnny did everything kind of annoyed me as I was really wanting another battle with the teamwork of all of 'em to win the war. It was a nice idea, but could have been executed slightly different. Alba was there for Eye Candy pretty much. Acting was OK, nothing special, just seemed like she was flashing as much as possible. The soppy and over dramatised beginning really annoyed me (basically the constant complaining about the wedding and whatnot) and was kinda a killer for the rest of the film. Once again a comic movie ended with the overwhored 'With great power comes great responsibility' and I would personally have prefered if they actually did split up, but the next film showed the city succumb to idk what, I'd say Doom but I'm not sure if I want to see him again, and end up having to come back to save Ben and Johnny. Ending pretty much sums to me that Surfer will be in the next one.

I also don't get why Surfer never bothered killing Galactus himself, but meh.

Nice movie, some nice flaws too.

Not trying to tell you, or anyone else, what do think here, but why is everyone dwelling on the "this or that is so unrealistic" aspects of these movies? I agree that the points you brought out are inconsistencies, but all superhero movies have them.

Superman Returns, for instance, was very good, and it had some things that, if I were to allow myself to get bogged down by them, would ruin the movie for me. I mean one thing, off the top of my head is, Doesn't ANYONE *bleep*ing recognize Supes and Clark Kent are the same person?? Hahahaha the guy doesn't even wear a mask for Christsakes! It is absurd, if you really think about it. How about the fact that Superman and Kent were BOTH gone from Metropolis for exactly 5 years? Clark is back THE SAME *bleep*ing day that Superman comes back, and what...nobody even questions this?

Seriously, I don't want to start an argument with you on this, because what you are saying is intrinsically correct, and you are right to see it as a flaw. However, we are dealing with people who all have Superhuman powers! Hahahaha that alone should allow for at least SOME suspense of your disbelief, if for no other reason, than ENJOYMENT of the movie, no?

I thought it was a damn good movie.

Oh wait that's right if it's not Batman Begins it sucks, right?

Who says he killed him? He was vunerable for a moment and maybe the surfer just stopped his attack.

What I don't get is, is the surfer actually dead?

Well that's a pretty brain-dead one liner response to a serious post. Seriously, forget about the fact that we disagree about Superman Returns, just like probably every superhero movie ever made, I would guess. If you think that you arguing that the movie wasn't that good somehow invalidates the real point that I was making, then there is something seriously wrong with your mental processes. Whether the movie was great, mediocre, horrible or whatever, does NOTHING invalidate my point that every superhero movie is going to have inconsistencies.
