Update: If Robin Shou doesn't reprise his role as Liu Kang, his character will be written out the script entirely.
Confirmed Info: When asked about MK3, Robin responded '"I don't really think so, where would we go?"
Comments: The official MK site recently conducted a poll, asking fans which character you want dead in the upcoming film; Liu Kang 'won', and the fact that he was killed in MKDA means one thing; Liu Kang will definately die in the next film.
Kitana - Talisa Soto
Chances To Appear: 99%
Confirmed Info: It's a given that Kitana will appear in MK3. The actress, like the majority of info concerning the film, is uknown. It's very likely that Talisa Soto will reprise her role.
Comments: I really hope that her costume is different in this one, something more similar to MKDA's costume. I also hope she wears a mask at one point as well. As for the actress, it doesn't really matter; The role of Kitana is fairly easy to pull off, afterall. Still, I'm expecting Talisa back.
Sindel - Musetta Vander
Chances To Appear: 65%
Confirmed Info: Musetta is definately interested in reprising her character. She had a great time playing Sindel, and doesn't hesitate to makes her voice heard on how much she'd like to play the role again. A source states that Sindel will return and will be much more powerful compared to her MKA character. We'll see.
Comments: I loved Musutta's over the top performance of Sindel in MKA, and I hope she returns in this one. Whether she'll be good, bad, or both, she definately has the acting chops to pull the role off (again).
Sonya - Sandra Hess, Bridgette Wilson, or possibly Hudson Leick.
Chances To Appear: 99%
Confirmed Info: Sonya will of course be back in MK3. The choice actress is stirring heads of MK fans everywhere; MK fans want Bridgette to return, but that seems unlikely. Sandra is rumored to have a contract for this one, but it's probably expired by now. Another actress who's name has been brought in the mix is Hudson Leick, best known for her role as Callisto in TV's Xena.
Comments: Although I want Bridgette to return, that's unlikely; I'm hoping Hudson Leick will take the role, as she is IMO, a far better actress than the other two.
Johnny Cage - Linden Ashby
Chances To Appear: 99%
Confirmed Info: Johnny Cage is expected to return in the next one, and this will likely play a big role in the plot as well. In an interview with "Soap Talk", Linden Ashby said that he had read the script and thought it was good. Johnny Cage would be coming back, and implied, though he didn't actually say so, that he was going to play Johnny Cage once again!
Comments: I'm very glad that not only Cage is returning, but Linden will be playing that role as well. He's a brilliant actor, and stole the spotlight from other MK stars with his witty, comedic performance.
Jax - Lynn 'Red' Williams
Chances To Appear: 99%
Confirmed Info: Lynn has confirmed in his website years ago that he'll reprise his role as Jax, as will Christopher Lambert as Rayden. Other than this, nothing else has been revealed on this character.
Comments: Lynn's performance was great in MKA. He provided excellent comic relief, even if it seemed out of place for a character who's suppossed to serve in the military. Still, that shouldn't matter; Lynn has the perfect look and acting chops to nail this character, whether it would be comedic or more serious performance this time around.
Rayden - Christopher Lambert
Chances To Appear: 99%
Confirmed Info: It has been confirmed numerous times that Christopher Lambert will reprise his role, including very credible sites such as Dark Horizons.
Comments: Christopher returning is a definite plus; He's performance was praised by MK fans throughout the world. Simply put, he's an amazing actor, and he's talent will greatly help the quality of the movie.
Sub-Zero - Keith Cooke or J.J. Perry
Chances To Appear: 99%
Confirmed Info: Sub-Zero appearing in MK3 is a no-brainer. The only question right now is who's going to play him.
Comments: Many sources have stated that Sub-Zero will play a much larger role compared to the previous films, possibly even as the main character. I'd like for J.J. Perry to play this role, as he nailed it perfectly in MK Conquest. Keith was decent, but he lacks the look and build of what Sub-Zero should have.
Quan Chi - Adoni Maropis
Chances To Appear: 99%
Confirmed Info: Quan Chi has been confirmed to be the mail villain of MK3!
Comments: Adoni's performance of Quan Chi, put in one word is: Amazing. Adoni made Quan Chi one of the best villains in not only the world of Mortal Kombat, but in action movies/shows in general as well. I can't imagine another actor playing this role. Quan Chi's look in MKC was very faithful to the character, and probably the best MK costume overall. I hope his appearance remains the same in the upcoming film; actor and costume intact.
Shinnok - Raynor Scheine
Chances To Appear: 10%
Confirmed Info: Shinnok appeared in the ending of MKA in a scene with Quan Chi. This scene has been removed, but it would lead to a plot that MK3 might follow: Quan Chi gives Shinnok an amulet, and Shinnok says that 'everything is going according to plan'. Shinnok didn't appear in MK Deadly Alliance, nor MK Deception, so it's highly unlikely he will appear in the film.
Comments: This scene might be included in the beginning of MK3, but that's not confirmed. Still, the story of Shinnok's amulet is one of the greatest MK mythos, so it wouldn't be a suprise if this element is included in the film. If Shinnok appears, I hope he's look will be more faithful to the much more sinister look of MK4.
Frost - Sung Hi Lee
Chances To Appear: 80%
Confirmed Info: Frost appeared in the first draft of the MK3 script. In fact, her character's name was agreed upon by both producers of this film, as well as the MKDA developers.
Comments: Sung Hi Lee's name was tossed in several times concerning the casting of this role. Sung Hi Lee also appeared in an episode of MKC, so that info seems fairly credible. I think she's a perfect choice for Frost; She's beautiful, great body, and can act. As for which side she'll be on, it's believed that she'll serve as a traitor, as Jade did in MKA. Coincidently, Sung played a traitor in MKC, as well as the show 'Birds of Prey'.
Scorpion - Chris Casamassa

Update: Chris confirmed that MK3 will be filmed later this year, with a 2005 theatrical release date.
Confirmed Info: Chris Casamassa confirmed he will reprise the role of Scorpion!
Comments: Like Sub-Zero, Scorpion's role is expected to be much larger compared to previous films. Chris confirmed in several interviews that he's interested in the role, and Chris's role has been praised by MK fans everywhere, in both the first film, as well as MKC.
Tanya - Stacey Dash
Chances To Appear: 90%
Confirmed Info: Stacey Dash recently was on a TV show inteview in France concerning a new movie she filmed, called "Guns and Roses" and she was asked what she was doing next. She would not give the name of the movie. She said her character's name is Tanya and she'll be doing lots of fighting. In addition, the Website "Entertainment To Come" confirms this as well.
Comments: Stacey is a hell of an actress, and I'm glad she'll be taking on this role. Expect a great performance from her.
Shang Tsung - Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa or Bruce Locke.
Chances To Appear: 20%
Confirmed Info: Nothing has been confirmed on this character.
Comments: Although Shang's name was never mentioned concerning this film, I believe that he'll make an appearance should the plot be faithful to MKDA. If it does, you can expect Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa of the first film or Bruce Locke of MKC to play the role of Shang Tsung. In addition, I've recieved word from a source that Shang will appear in the film, but the actor was still under consideration.
Shao Kahn - Jeff Meek or Brian Thompson.
Chances To Appear: 20%
Confirmed Info: Nothing has been confirmed on this character.
Comments: Kahn's name was mentioned is rumored plots of MK3. I don't really expect him to return, as MK3 will be 'fresh', and it will probably avoid this character. This is because Brian Thompson's performance of Kahn was negatively recieved. If he returns, I hope that Jeff Meek will play this role, as he did so perfectly in MKC.
Mileena - Talisa Soto and/or Dana Hee.

Confirmed Info: Nothing has been confirmed on this character.
Update: Mileena's appearance in MK Deception highly suggests she will return for MK3. In addition, she is the most requested character fans want to return.
Comments: MK fans didn't hesitate to request Mileena's return to producers of the movie. Word is that there was so much demand for Mileena's return that Threshold has no choice but to include her in MK3. A fight between Kitana and Mileena has been demanded as well. Given the fact that she appeared in MKA for less than a minute, a reappearance would be greatly appreciated. I hope this happens, as Mileena has loads of potential in terms of the plot; She is a clone of Kitana, afterall.
Reptile - Uknown
Chances To Appear: 20%
Confirmed Info: Nothing has been confirmed on this character.
Comments: It's not expected for Reptile to return, but since he appeared in the latest MK games, and the fact that he'll play a large role in MK6, greatly increases his chances to appear. I wouldn't hold by breath though.

....so any idea what characters are going to be in here? I haven't kept up with MK charactes since Ultimate MK or MK4 lol.
