Maybe he just forgot to mention his character? It seems like the most obvious return since Elrond plays an essential part to the story. What im wondering is about Arwen being in the story. PJ must have a fascination with Liv/Arwen for some reason. Interesting he said he wants to make King Kong cooler than LotR. I guess what he meant by that is that he's trying to outdo himself once again. More power to you PJ. Good luck with that impossible task. He did the impossible once so maybe lightening can strike twice with King Kong. Bah who gives a shit. I want The Hobbit dang it!

	Peter Jackson tries to get liv tyler in the movies as much as possible because there's hardly any female characters in the movies/ books. hmm, i'd have thought the hobbit would have been a higher priority over king kong, it doesn't have actors ( Ian Mckellan and Ian Holm) to sit around getting too old and die or anything like that. king kong isn't even that cool to start with, but it could be pretty cool i guess... but not as cool as the hobbit...

	If you were gonna make the Hobbit or even the Silmarillion you'd HAVE to get Peter Jackson & Weta to do it because they pulled it off perfectly. In fact so well that Royd Tolkien, J.R.R. Tolkien's great-grandson visited the pick-ups on Return of the King & has a cameo at Osgiliath where he is handing out spears. At least SOME of the Tolkien family truly appreciate the hard work put into the films. Nothing can ever do justice to the books, but now, nothing can ever do justice to the films either. You'd have no problem getting Andy Serkis, (Sir, by the way) Ian McKellen & Hugo Weaving to do it again (Maybe even Orlando Bloom could cameo in Mirkwood. That is where Legolas is from). But there is a slight problem... BILBO! In the prologue for Fellowship of the Ring they got Ian Holm to stretch his skin back to make him look younger. And I doubt a doctor would advise him to do that over a shoot of a good few months. He may be too old to play Bilbo now. DAMMIT! If they hadn't shown that bit in the prologue they'd possibly get away with casting someone else. Well anyway, Hollywood knows money grows on ents now, so somehow they'll get this film made. 	After 'The Lord of the Rings, well I kinda expected Jackson to do 'The Hobbit'. It would be quite disappointment if they did not do it. Then again I have read 'The Hobbit and 'The Lord of the Rings' and I thought LOTR was by in far better than 'The Hobbit'. 	The Hobbit was the first novel I ever read and I've been in love with it ever since (not in any sick way of course). As long as this movie is made, and all the necessary cast come back this will be just as amazing if not better that a stand alone LOTR film, I hope . ------------------- :Movie:Game:

The main point of contention that had prevented THE HOBBIT from coming to the big screen was a complex rights issue between MGM and New Line that, for all intents and purposes, wouldn't be resolved until the universe caved in on itself but someone apparently worked some magic to clear up that issue. I'm not even going to start with the Orlando issue, it's not even relevent. I don't remember ever seeing Legolas in the book. It's cool though, like you, I LOVED The Hobbit, even read it once in a while still. I've been wishing for this for a long time, way before Kong was even in production. I hope to GOD that Jackson signs on. It could be another masterpiece. LotR -> Kong -> Hobbit. Awesome! 	I just mentioned Orlando because of his role in LOTR. Wasn't trying to take a shot at you, so not sure what you mean by that. I should actually re-read The Hobbit, because the entire book has become sort of a blur. 	This is going to be awesome, I've read the book like 3 or more times. Ian Holm and Ian McKellen better be back, as well as Jackson, who I know has one film in the future after his one year of rest or whatever (which should be over soon) after the Rings films and Kong. ------------------- last.fm

	Jackson built his career on shitty movies that nobody remembers. Plus he said he made 4 epics already and they beat the hell out of him, why would he want to go back to that? He's an established director now, he can charge anything he wants and direct anything he wants.
