Another trailer I saw at last night's Midnight viewing of Revolutions, but this one in particular didn't catch my attention as well as it should have. That's only because it had the unfortunate luck to follow the "Troy" Teaser Trailer.

Still looks like a great flick after re-watching the trailer later today. I'm not familiar with the series, but I am aware this is an adaptation of the "Master and Commander" series, based upon the 10th novel I believe. Should be in for a treat with this film

Yeah dude, it's all movie footage! It totally rocks the kasbah, that movie looks to be *bleep*in EPIC!

Minor Spoilers

Well, for what its worth, this movie isnt bad at all. I went in expecting an action packed suspenseful flick, but to say the least, i didnt really get it.

The movie starts off with a sweet action scene between the Surprise (Russell Crowe, the British Captain's ship) and the Archeron (the French Ship). thats just some crazy shit when they get close together and rail on eachother with cannons.

from there, the movie slows down for a while, with a couple moments of suspense, but this part of the movie is dedicated to showing the attitudes of sailers from the Surprise.

The last battle scene was awesome, i dont want to give away details but it was cool, lets just leave it at that.

overall, i was pleasently surprised with this film, it had elements of drama, and elements of action. well worth the 5.25 i paid to see it. i'd give it an: 8.5 out of 10

I've just got back from seeing this. Im so tired so i'll keep my review short. I enjoyed it a lot. I was kind of turned off by the slow pace of the film. Some of the scenes and dialogue just dragged on forever and I found my mind drifting off, waiting for something to happen. So much I often miss lines of smart dialogue or important plot points. But the action scenes are amazing. I hate Russel Crow (I did like Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind anyways) but he was so good in this movie. Okay, im too tired to write anything else. I give this movie a 9 out of 10.

It is fairly rare for me to get home from a movie and instantly come on neoseeker wishing to tell them how great it was. No no, I am not going to spoil it. I don't need to tell you an ounce of the story.
I scored tickets to a preview screening through Triple M Freq Club (Melbourne/Australian thing). I got them, basically just cos they were there and they were a prize. I wasnt that keen on seeing it, and had I not got the tickets I would have probably bypassed the whole thing.
However, having just seen the screening, I must say that this was a complete surprise. Russell Crowe's acting is some of the best I have seen, definately academy worthy. Paul Bettany is also fantastic as the ship's surgeon.
The ship designs are recreated fantastically, giving the film an authentic epic feel. The film's characters are often looked deep into as they develop throughout the story. The entire cast perfrom greatly.
Dont be dumb like me. If you are prepared to sit down for two or so hours, then it is definately worth the money. The in depth characters, action sequences and even some of Jack Aubrey (Crowe)'s humour make this film a must see.

I saw it this weekend and it was pretty interresting. They chose great people to play the chareacters.At the end there is a pretty funny line.Rating:7 out of 10

i hate to say this but...
i enjoyed that film and russel crow was quite good in it.
the battel sceens were excellently done and some of the sceenery was amazing.
