He would've just knocked Bane out at the most and got him under arrest or something, because he doesn't kill. And I don't think it'd be all that feasible having a cuffed Bane being carried away without restraint by people he could kill with two fingers.

I told myself if anyone was gonna do the deed, it'd be either Catwoman or a fourth party by some manner.

So many things to say to so many of the stupid things said in this thread it's really unbearable, but if I compile the dissertation I had set in mind I'd probably face a perma so for now I'm just going to mention two things everyone is getting beat up over.

Is Bruce Wayne dead?

No, and anyone that feels that completely underestimates him or really hasn't grasped the character by now. Batman plans for every eventuality. He does not leave the fate of Gotham or himself to chance. He was sloppy on his return, yes, but he came back. Whether we know how he did it or not really doesn't matter - he's a genius, we're not - they'd write the character off awfully to suggest that was his final defeat.

Not only that, but it wouldn't resolve one of the major arcs of the film. Alfred leaves because Bruce refuses to move on from being the Bat and instead welcomes the idea of death. The whole point of coming to the end of that entire journey is that Bruce finally opens up, welcomes love, tackles his grief and doesn't keep running towards death. To die would be to defeat everything the running arc stood for and have Bruce go down as the sinking ship, with no resolution to either himself or Alfred who, as he says to Wayne parents, would have failed them. What kind of poor writing would end on such an unfinished downer? He learns to fear death and value life.

This is without the more obvious fact that it shows you several examples of reasons to believe he's still alive before ACTUALLY SHOWING YOU HE IS.

Next point: if John Blake is our next protagonist, will he be Robin or Nightwing?

No. You don't need an entire article for this. Robin is a partner and the role he played in the film. John inherits a bat cave. Is swamped by bats. Has a bat-symbol established for him by Bruce. Has clear influences of Nightfall's Azrael and Beyond's Terry McGinnis.. Nightwing isn't obvious enough or holds enough weight for WB to put backing behind it. Who's going to be the final link JLA's trio, Nightwing? What happens when Batman appears to die in the comics? Robin becomes Batman. It's not about a man in a suit, it's about Batman and the symbol's power. Nightwing only exists when Batman does too. Finally, it's clear that when you Google it, top-result confirms the authenticity

Haven't given my review of the film yet, and there's so much rage I want to unleash at some of the ridiculous comments in this thread but I'm going to have to take deep breaths ("I told my friend to leave when Bane breaks his back, and he did!" FFUUUUU)

here's a dumb question. the prison, or metaphorical "Lazarus Pit" that Bane put Bruce into when his back was broken, was that supposed to be right next to the city? after he climbed out of it it looked like the football stadium in the background. maybe i missed something but it was in a desert-like area.

Yeah they weren't descriptive. I think they called whoever the guy was "The Warlord". Right?
